My oil pressure light does not work, I have replaced the bulb and the wireing looks OK the manual is quite vague about replacing the switch,is it just a case of unscrewing the old one and screwing in a new one, does the oil have to be drained first?any help appreciated, very new to Buells after a lifetime of European bikes, I find this 2001 Cyclone I have very 'different" but highly addictive

It just screws out, but there is an oil passage behind it. If you're quick, you can screw a new one in without too much oil draining out. Be quick though!

(and put a drain pan underneath it anyway)

Before you spend the money for the sensor pull the wire off and ground it to test the light and wiring. I have seen this wire cut near the front mount for the shock.

Look at the front of the motor in this picture. Just below the oil filter mount is an inverted silver cone, that is the oil PSI sensor.
