Alright Mike and Bob (and anyone else interested), it seems as though the Donner short track thing may get a bit serious now. Apparently there will be a $1000 pot up for grabs! See the topic on SACBORG for details. Let the war begin cause the rainforest group needs this one. Matt |

Lorraine- You have such a way with words - those pictures are great! Thank you for sharing them, your website is awesome. Look forward to seeing you at Border Raid. Matt, Mike & Bob - buy Mama's some new shoes! Bring home the bacon or rather $1000 dollars. Mike and Cody have been practicing so Bob and Matt get with it. Bob - can you say protective gear? Matt - can you say protective gear? Mike - can you say crash and don't bother comin' home! (hee-hee). Well unlike the unemployed work is calling my name (damn). Kimberlie |

Jim (FunJimmy), Thank you very much for the signal lights! They are greatly appreciated. One less thing to worry about. I hope to have my bike ready by BorderRaid. At this point I'm not sure. Just waiting for parts on order now. Thanks again! Don |

Well, I found out why the battery went dead on the way back home from SPLASH. No output from the stator. I took the primary cover off and there are lots of copper bits in the bottom. I'm still in the process of dismantling. Has anyone else done this. Do I have to clean out the tranny as well? By the way, what happened to all the faces? Bib |

Brandon, New style 2000-2001 Rotor and Carrier at Harley shops, 110 dollars. A far superior rotor than the one you have now. All for well under 2 Bills, Bob |

No Problem Eric. You have the good fortune of being on this Board and the rewards for being here are the people. All the people that post in this section are from all over the N/w yet we get together many time during each year and enjoy a common Bond. The passion for Motorcycles no matter what Brand (well, there is Storty Eric) and the friendships made from sharing that passion. Many of us are very close and living so far from each other makes weekend trips fun. I just finnished giving Debbies Speed Tripple a Tailectomy. Newer Motorcycles sure have BIG tail section, Mudflap, Licence plate, El-plasico deelywackers dont they? ( not no more) In the Rain Forest, Bob |

Damn Bob! That moved me to tears You are absolutely right -- I am glad to know people like ya'll. Speaking of 'ectomies. Carols bike has had a bunch, and I have my ride parked in the dining room right now while I work on it. That way I can play with my toy while Carol recovers. She had her own surgical upgrade today and is currently pursuing better living through pharmacology Have fun! Dan |

Roadrash - I agree with Buellnuts on the new style rotor. It is stainless, so you will need new pads too. If you old rotor only needs new carrier buttons email me, I think I have a set. Do any of you get the Aerostich catalog? If you would like any of the stickers out of the back of the catalog please let me know, I have been given many. |

OK, Here is one for ya. Was re installing the Power Commander. Took the fuel line off the fuel filter this time to get the gas tank off. Now that I've hooked everything back up the bike will crank but won't start. Fuel pump sounds "different". Like it is recieving a lot of resistance. Took everything apart again - major fuel spray from pressure build up when I took off the fuel filter this time. Replaced the fuel filter. Checked all the Power commander connections. Tried a different map, everything. Still no luck. If air got into the fuell line would that be causing the fuel not to go into the injectors? Do I need to prime the injectors somehow? Any help would be great Thanks! Dan |

Here's a lesson to learn from (not that anyone here would let this happen to them)...So one of my coworkers today tries to stop some squid on an R1 blasting down the Banfield Freeway, guy turns his head, sees the popos behind him, gives a twist of the wrist and it literally gone, squeezing through traffic via the bob and weave. Several motorists also call in on this guy as he's sighted being a blue blur across the Marquam Bridge. As it turns out, some poor soul out in Fairview had his R1 for sale and, well, as you guessed, he's out one Yamaha. But, the gracious motorcycle mutant did leave the stolen motorcycle he brought to the test drive behind. Thought I'd share. (True story, btw). Regards, Eric |
