I seem to remember that the guy ended up selling his sportster eventually. May be wrong though. |

I have a 2000 Sportster with about 7000 miles on it. At 4500 miles I converted it to a 1200, with stage 2 Thunderstorm heads, SE 575 cam, SE coil and ignition, Jim's Titanium pushrods, Roller rockers, White Bros E series 2:1 pipe, Mikuni HSR42, Doherty Air Cleaner, Sportster Sport suspension front and rear, Flander's drag bars, blah blah blah. Powerful and great handling! The tank and fenders could use fresh paint because I bought it as a salvage (it was rear ended). I have been riding it to work everyday for a year. It isn't mint condition, but could be! If you are interested I will post some pictures. |

As much as I want a Firebolt, it probably isn't smart to do a transcoastal trade based on photos. I would feel really bad if somehow my bike wasn't all that you expected. Since I built it from salvage by hitting the swap meets and ebay for parts, I am sure there are cosmetic things that I overlook on a daily basis because I know the story behind each and every part of the bike. Sorry if I got your hopes up, and good luck. |

hey man, realistically it probably wasn't happening anyway. i just appreciated the effort you had put into the bike and wanted to see it. still sounds interesting to me. if i were you....i'd keep that bike, something with a story like that is hard to replace. if you still wanted to oblige us with pics, i'd love to see them |
