I want to change the front brake lever to one with an adjustable span. Similar to stock but adjustable. Or I'd change both levers if that makes the most sense. Just not the real expensive ones. I read all of the posts here and am still confused. can someone point me to the correct alternative? |

M2 black levers work, and American Sport Bike sells CRG adjustable, and other styles of adjustable as well. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/112964.html#POST440035 EZ (Message edited by ezblast on May 12, 2008) |

I just wanted to add (in the off chance no one has already) My buell xb9sx adjustable brake lever fits the Blast just fine. I knocked over my wife's (this is her account) BLAST! and broke the handle. Couldn't find a replacement. But mine looks the same. So I tried it out. Works like a charm and is adjustable. Its about 50 dollars vs 30 for the blast replacement from bike bandit. but its an alternative. Of course everyone already knows the hand guards from the Ulysses and the sx will bolt right over with the proper risers. |

there is a set of BLACK adjustable Buell levers on ebay right now, about $68 shipped. I have a set of "chunky" billet levers, from the same seller that used to sell the billet dash for the Blast. They kind of match the gas tank cap - especially with plate-type handlebars and/or billet dash, but they're not adjustable, and don't seem to be available anymore. |

Looks like they are XB only. Do those actually fit the blast? Better than the black m2 levers? St. Paul Harley EBAY store, correct? |

Those will work. I took the stock black ones from my XB and put them on the Blast. The only thing with the brake lever is the tab on the lever that depresses the micro switch wasn't thick enough and my brake light was on all the time. I just glued a little 1/8 piece of metal to the tab and it works fine now. I just bought some XB CRG levers and will post up how they work as soon as I install them. |

Aleutian, Pazzo and CRG makes levers that fit the blast. I will post a part number in a little while (I have to run out). I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head. (Message edited by garlic_sauce on July 06, 2009) |

I know the CRG P# is in the KV here. I can't find the number for the Pazzo's though. |

Not trying to sound like a cheap a$$ but are all levers that expensive? Also, I'm looking for foot pegs to replace the ugly rubber ones. I'm not looking for rear sets, just something more attractive that fits the stock brackets. Are the foot pegs a universal fit or is there a particular size for just the Blast? |

For the CRG question, the ones off of my XB fit my Blast perfectly. |

Damnut/Jim - I've heard that the brake pin is a tad bit long on the XB to Blast conversion - check two things - no break drag, and is rear break light on at all. Just relating what I heard - the CRG and Pazzio, and Kawasaki are all adjustable though so maybe the pin is a little shorter? That would mean that the XB ones would fit a Tuber, since it is known that the Tuber ones fit and work. EZ |

It was like that when I put my stock black XB levers on the Blast. I had to super glue a washer to the brake tab to get the brake light to shut off. With the CRG's I didn't have this problem, works like a charm. I'll take a few pictures and post up tomorrow. |

Well here are some pictures of my XB CRG's on my Blast.
Here is the brake switch. As you can see it is depressed so I don't have my brake light on all the time, which is a problem I had with my stock XB levers.
Here's what I did to my stock XB levers to make them work. I took a thumb tack and cut off the pin. Then I took the top of the tack and a small washer and glued them to the tab on the brake lever.
Like I said, I may have just gotten lucky with the CRG setup but I have been keeping an eye on it and I haven't had a problem yet. |

I picked up some new levers (to replace one damaged in one of my recent auto incidents) from this ebay seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/american-torque/ . They're made for the S1/X1 bikes and fit well. The set of two cost me $44.95 plus shipping (because I didn't go for the shorties). In speaking with them they are a non-profit race team and the sales go into the racing funds. They threw in a nice Buell sticker as well.
Don't know if anyone around here is affiliated but thought that I would pass along this info since they're a good deal on levers and support other Buell riders/racers. |
