I bought this bike from the original (lady) owner and rode it once. Must give up riding due to a shoulder injury. Bike is Yellow and has new Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires. The race kit was installed by the dealer. Comes with the original owners manual and a Buell factory service manual. I will also throw in an extra seat from a standard Lightning model. I don't have pictures yet, but the bike looks like any other yellow Lightning. Not a scratch, never down. 8500 original miles. Please email with questions: kf9bp@netzero.net $4200 FIRM. It was pointed out to me in an email from a nice fella that my price was insanely high for an '03 Lightning. He suggested that I might have dyslexia and meant $2400 instead of $4200. I must be very out of touch with Buell prices. My son was going to buy a used Blast for $2400 but in light of this new information, he might as well buy my Lightning for the same price. I'll just disconnect the rear spark plug wire and he'll never know he's not riding a Blast.  | ||

I have been having the same problem lately with selling my bike. People want something for nothing lately. As a side note, I did just see a blast on one of the Wisconsin craigslists for 1900. | ||

I think $2400 is way too low (imho). $4200 isn't a bad place to start but you might want to be open to offers as opposed to being "FIRM". (you can always say "no" to the offer, but at least you'll show that you're flexible) Good luck with the sale! | ||

Any more than 4300 would be high. But any less than 4000 with a race kit would be low. Times are tough for many people now which lowers the demand. And many people are selling off the toys which increases the supply. Only good thing is the xb9 gets awesome MPG. | ||
