Where I work, they actually opened an office in India so they could say they aren't outsourcing. Makes me feel better that when my job goes to there, it will be taken by another "employee" of the company |

GOOD GRIEF! There is so much misinformation here about outsourcing I don't even know where to begin!! NAFTA: This was initiated by the current Presidents FATHER! It was NOT initiated by Clinton, but he didn't fight it either. NAFTA = North American Free Trade Agreement. This means it only refers to the United States, Mexico and Canada. Therefore, the hundreds of THOUSANDS of jobs that have gone to India, Pakistan and China have NOTHING to do with NAFTA. Only one of the current candidates has been working to REMOVE the tax breaks corporations get for sending their work overseas and that is everyone's favorite candidate (and I say that tongue in cheek) Hillary (though Obama jumped on the bandwagon recently). As a Republican, McCain won't have anything to do with any kind of governmental corporate oversite, so the big corporations will continue to ship their jobs overseas where its cheapest and our livelihoods will continue to vanish. Unless, of course, Bush has his way and devalues the dollar SO far that third world nations will find it cheaper to send their work HERE. What the hell, the dollar is already worth LESS than the Canadian dollar and the Euro so maybe that time won't be far off?? |

my job can't be sent to india. mexicans and indians could come here and do it, but the work will always be here. Remember, if you have it, a truck brought it. |
