Well, I would like to use this forum to give my thanks to the excellent service I have enjoyed from Joanne and Al at American Sport Bike. I ordered the '08 R/H switch gear for my Uly to allow me to use OE equipment to power my PolyHeaters. I spoke to Al to discuss my order on 1st May, I received an email from Joanne on 2nd May to say my order would go out "in the morning". It was delivered to my home here in South Wales, UK on Tuesday 6th May. Fantastic service!!!! |

Yep - They're not only responsive, but know Buells. American sport bike, Precision Engineering & 'Strada' are tops in customer service and helpful advice. |

after six weeks of waiting for my corbin seat/back rest and several emails later, I find out my order was wrong and had to be returned and re-ordered. never received any communication about this until I asked what's taking so long and it was already after the fact. it would have been nice to have received an update instead of having to constantly ask. Then I find out the problem was that the order was placed to corbin wrong.... and not by me and not corbin's fault. 2 weeks after that I still haven't heard anything about it. I have to ask and ask..... so 8 weeks now.... no seat....no communication about it. no proactive info from American Sport Bike's side..... unless I ask and ask I'll never know. |

American Sportbike has given me much better service than any Buell dealer that I have ever been to. |

American Sport Bike sets the standard as to how all motorcycle supply businesses should be run. I've placed 3 significant orders from them and am 100% satisfied. |

Al and Joanne are great people and run a great business. Anytime I've called Al with a Buell question it seems as though he's got nothing better to do than help me out, always going into great detail and explanation. That's how a business takes care of its customers. They also put on a great barbecue with great food, prizes, great riding on So CA roads, a really good time for all Buell riders or otherwise. Spacecapsule, did you actually talk to Al or Joanne aside from emails? |

I've placed several orders with Al and Joanne and I've received them, literally, the next day! I've also had Al do a re-map and TPS reset in person, and my bike has run flawlessly. Al's a wealth of knowledge and always willing to discuss your needs and questions. Nothing but praise here. |

I've been waiting almost three months for my Tuono mirrors to replace the stock lollipops. they have been very upfront about the backorder from Italy, they have even called me to update my status on the backorder list, and all the other little things I've ordered came very quickly. They are an independent business and always subject to other peoples production problems, but they do their best and are very friendly and fair. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. |

California, I replaced my stock mirrors with Tuonos, the Tuono mirrors look cool, BUT, for me at least, they don't provide as good rear viewing as the lollipops! |

American Sportbike is back ordered on the Aprilla Tuono mirrors and not accepting any additional orders according to their web site. I found a local Aprilla dealer that has six in stock, bought one set for around $50, and told him he may be getting some calls for additional sales. Aprilla in St. George Utah 435 674 5664. |

So, Longdog.... what wins? Do you stay cool with the Tuono's or refit the stocks? If its the latter it may help me on my decision as to wether I hunt down some Tuono's. Cheers Dick. |

Hi Dick, the Tuonos look better, no contest. I get more elbows in the mirrors and have to move my head more to see the mirrors than with the stock lollipops, although it's not awful, just not as good. I seem to remember reading on here that one of the better known, long-standing contributors to the Uly forum had fitted extensions to his Tuonos form a Kawasaki. That may improve matters. For now, I'm going to allow style to rule over function!!! |

Interesting. My experience is that the stock lollipops showed a lot of my shoulders when they were adjusted to my liking. Going to the Tuono mirrors my shoulders were out of the picture and I got a slightly wider view of the world behind me. I love the Tuonos! I'm sure that it boils down to size/dimensions of the rider, riding position, seat, rider preference, etc, but it is interesting to read about other riders experiences with the mirror swap. |

my mirrors are in, I'll install them tomorrow, and then when I get a chance, I'll do the road test and post my review/opinion. I agree with Packdog, my experience is that I see a lot of me, and not much of what's behind me. As a matter of fact, I can't see anything in the lane behind me, only the lane to either side. if I want to see directly behind me, I have to lean to one side or the other first. |

Thanks Longdog.... "I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure" applies to me in this case. Where did you get yours? A UK Aprilia dealer? |

Cheers Longdog. So I guess an Aprilia owner had torn them off and was flogging them. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a set, thats a good price you got there. Sorry Cardiff lost last week. Cheers. DS |

Thanks for the props, folks. As far as the seat goes, my screw up was very minor compared to Corbin's, they had a detailed description of the seat and didn't deliver to it. As far as status goes, We deliver the stuff as soon as we get it and say so when it's ordered. There isn't a whole lot to say in the meantime..."Still not here, still ordered" doesn't really help anything, and it isn't like I'm sitting around wondering what to do with all my free time. But, to the point of the later posts: THE TUONO MIRRORS ARE FINALLY IN COUNTRY!!! After waiting over three months for the italians to ship the damn things, they're in country and are in transit to me now. I'll turn them back on after they get here. Al |

I received my Tuono mirrors and Rox risers from American Sportbike and installed them last night, total piece of cake. Rode to work this morning and boy howdy am I happy! The mirrors widen the field of view, but don't give a whole lot more vis, but I like the look, and they sit out a little wider, as a matter of fact, they now stick out an inch beyond the end of the grips. The Rox risers are beautifully machined, fit like the proverbial hand in glove, and not once in my 40 minute ride this morning, did I even think of needing to straighten up and rest a wrist. I only needed to remove the clip that holds the front brake hose to the inside of the instrument housing. all the other cables work perfectly as-is. Other than the 3 month wait for the eye-talions to get er done. No worries, mate! |

I've got a set of Rox risers that I'll be installing in a day or two. Surprised to hear you didn't need to reroute the throttle cables. Thought that was the norms with these? Tipsy |

So, after 10 weeks, my seat finally arrives! However, it isn't made according to my order. Very disappointing. I'm sure American Sport Bike will correct the issue though, just more waiting for me is all. (Message edited by spacecapsule1 on May 21, 2008) |

Replacement mirrors: I replaced the original mirrors on my uly with Kawasaki ER6N ones. They match very well with the bike and offer an excellent rear view. |
