If anyone's down at the VA Beach Bike Classic, I volunteered to serve beer this evening 'til about 8pm. Look for the Buell, and the guy in the yellow "Kool A$$" shirt... |

Mike, I was talking to Mel the other day and he mentioned that you stop by the gas station on Lasking and Atlantic. Anyway, how often do you go and around what time. I would like to see what the crowd is like sometime. Dave |

I just want to get out some, I had fun today chasing some other sportbikes along 264, I stayed under 80 though. I probably could have kept up with them if I knew I wouldn't get caught. Is that being a bad role model? |

I don't want a ticket, I am an officer, and that would not be conduct becoming. Besides, I can't afford another one, the last wreckless driving one cost me about $1000 to get it reduced. Besides, I was lucky this morning. I had some jack ass following too close, so instead of speeding up and continuing on, I moved over and slowed down. 30 seconds later as we pass rosemont (heading west) he gets pulled over by a cop on a bike (cop didn't even move, just pointed and made him pull over). Hey I would be insulted, at least you can chase me a little. |

Is that being a bad role model? Sounds more like a smart Bueller to me. No need to chase the squids. There is always a better time and place. |

Tank, still interested in dirt biking? There is a MotoCross track that opened in Glouchester and Im heading up there Saturday to get some laps in. They also have 10 miles of marked trails if you're interested or anyone else for that matter. Anyone for throwing some dirt around? |

Mel, two different worlds. My 250 (sold the 525) has a power to weight ratio of 1 hp to ever 4 lbs. In other words, its very light (200lbs) and its a 2 stroke motor. If you are unfamiliar with how their power hits (mid-range and up) better have a belt on to hold your pants up. 2 strokes have a fat exhaust pipe for expansion and back pressure at the stinger. Once she gets on "pipe" the right amount of back pressure you will feel a "HIT" and if you aren't ready for it....LOL you will make it to funniest home videos. All of this means, light weight, snappy power, top speed of maybe 75 (who would ever go that fast on a MX track is beyond me). The bikes are very tall and that intimidates more people than anything. However they have to be with over 12 inches of suspension and you will rarely put your feet down anyways. What people should respect is the motor. Yeah its a 250 but in a 100 yard holeshot, it will beat a 600 to 1200cc street bike. All about power to weight ratio and gearing. By the time a street bike shifts into 2nd, Im outta gears. Here are the directions to the track. I'll be there around 11sh and I'll bring the 4 wheeler for the kids(adults) if ya'll come up. Location: Take Route 17 N (25miles) Turn left onto Route 33 (2 miles) Turn right onto Pierce Rd.(1/2mile)Turn right onto Batt Rd.(1/3mile)Track will be on the left in the woods.LOOK FOR SIGN!!(ROBERTS) We have a 1 1/4 Motocross Track & Growing. There is about 10 miles of marked trails & a short trail for kids. Parking & picnic area. _________________ ROBERTS TRACK & TRAILS |
