I just made a deal on a 2001 M2. The steering stop bumpers are missing. Are replacements available from Buell (or anywhere else) and anybody have a PN? Thanks | ||

Those things are a PITA, too. No matter how spotless you make the frame, it's hard to make them stick and stay stuck. If you don't get them placed just right, the fork will try (and eventually succeed) in pushing them off. | ||

Cut a narrow notch in them, deep enough for a zip tie to sit flush. Stick, then zip tie, them to the frame  | ||

My original bump stops fell off within a few months of getting my bike, but the factory replacement bump stops (the kit comes with glue) I replaced them with almost 8 years ago are still on. The zip tie idea sounds good. Everything else is zip tied, why not the bump stops too! | ||

I drilled a small hole or cup into the backside of the bumpers,(frameside) not going all the way through, to give it a suction affect. I used grip glue and they have been holding tight. | ||

I cut some new stops from a radiator hose and its pre-curved, glued on with contact cement.  |
