Weee! It finally warmed up enough for me to break out the Buell. Friday, XB9er and myself rode to Clem's BBQ in Port Matilda for lunch. Not a "warm" day, but 55 degrees is tolerable to me. Nice to see the turn in the weather so I can get out some more.
My bike need a quick battery charge from sitting all winter, seems I forgot to plug in/hook up my battery tender last fall...
Anywho, the bike turned 14,000 miles. Just shy of 10,000 mile are mine.
Once the road grime gets washed off a little more, I'll run the Res Ride route to see if anything major changed over the winter.
Now that the weather is warming up is anybody interested in checking out some of my favorite twisties in eastern Center County some Saturday or Sunday? Meet up at the truck stop in Rt80/ Milesburg and start from there. If we started out around 11am we could cover some really nice mountain roads during the afternoon.
argghh. Ask me after tax day. Been working to pay Uncle Sam since January. Apparently last year was better than I thought .
I have been riding to work the last 2 days while my truck is laid up for repairs. Good thing it's only 1 1/2 miles to my shop. I think my boogers would freeze if it was any farther at 35 degrees in the morning.
Mark61, pick a good saturday and I could be down. Toona, Res Ride is getting close, whats up with hotel rooms and people needing them. I'm going to book mine soon.
toona, I just finished installing the rest of the race kit on the Uly. Now when I roll on the throttle quickly it cuts out. Does that sound like a TPS reset? Thanks
Hi all...posted this in the Homecoming section, but figured a duplicate here couldn't hurt.
Wondering if anyone is heading to Homecoming? I'm not set on departure time or anything, but am looking to see if I can meet up with folks that may be heading to East Troy. Figure it will make the trip shorter not not be solo...
I am planning on the Res Ride but I won't be arriving until Friday night.
Maybe they will be offering test rides at Americade. Last year they were showing them but no demos that I was aware of. Americade is the first week in June.
What is a BPR Spinder? Kissel has several brands. Kawa, Triumph, Ducatti and some scooters. Them scooters go all the way up to 35 miles an hour going down hill!
If you are local to State College, this Thursday is the demo day for the BRP Spyder at Kissel Motorsports(.com) I won't be getting there until around 5:00.
On Friday June 27 the AMA flat track races will be held at Bedford Speedway. The track is at the intersection of routes 30 and 220. I understand these are the same races they have at Hagerstown. Anyone planning on going?
Arrggggh. I'll be out of town on business that w/e. Bedford Speedway is a big track, for a dirt track, either 1/2 mile or 5/8 mile. Been awhile since I've been there.
My brother announces at Hesston Speedway-near Lake Raystown, Huntingdon county.
Anyone heading for Bellefonte Cruise In tomorrow? It is always a nice turn out there. Hope the weather goes right for the day! I will be there for a while on the roadking.
Although Bellfonte is almost in my backyard (in a kinda 50 mile away kinda thing) I'll be missing it once again this year Gotta pack for VACATION! leaving on Monday for 3 days at Niagra Falls, Wooo Hooo!
Toona, have a good trip! I made it to Bellefonte but saw NO Buells! BOOHOO! Lot of really cool cars including a 1971 and a 2003 Lotus- 2 of them. BIG MONEY! They did the bike games even though it started raining. Next year we got to show some Buells there!
Mark, my wife scheduled this vacation so my family could get away together. If she didn't set it up, I'm too busy at work to just take off for "no reason"- except for the occaisional ride to Clem's for lunch
Wooo almost a month since anyone has posted. you guys are just out riding that much, right?
Any way, 2 of the guys from the Res Ride rode past my shop today - the KTM and I missed the second rider. I thought they would have turned around, but no avail.
Any one going to Carlisle Bike Fest the end of this month? (July 25-27) I'll be down on Saturday the 26th.
Homecoming was a BLAST! If you didn't go, you missed a great time. Alchemy, XB9er and myself truck/trailered out, but rode every chance we got. I had the chance to spend some time and ride with Dano_12s and MrsDano_12s (Michelle-I didn't forget this time)
The demo truck was a Blackhawk raceway for the Inside Pass day. Dano and I jumped at the chance to wind out the 1125R on the track for free. OOOOOO WEEEEEEE!
One of the most memorable times was grinding the pegs on a Blast in every corner at the go cart track demo ride at Road America, THAT WAS A HOOT!
