Welcome!
my 1125r is my 7th Buell in the last 12 years, yes I'm hooked also.

The more miles you get on your new bike the more fun it gets.

I would say you are trooper for a 10 hr ride, but in comparison to your girl--you are nothing! I would debate whether it is humanly possible to ride that far on the back of the 1125r.

Welcome to the ranks. It is a great ride for sure.

Congrats on your new 1125R. So, you are going to ride it for a ten-hour trip?? I rode my Vrod for the first time in a month, (have been riding my 1125R) and I have to tell you, the 1125 is more comfortable than the VRod. I used to make fun of people who were suggesting the 1125R would make a great sport-touring bike, and now I agree with them.

On my recent trip down south, I had 2 - 400 mile days, a 600 and a 700.
At the end of the 700 mile day, my butt was starting to get sore, the other days were all good.

This was on the Tour Seat(AKA Pegasus seat, from BMC).
I would NEVER attempt that on the OEM "frying pan".

Congrats on the new bike, you'll have lots of fun with it. Like it was suggested, upgrade the seat. I did a 700 mile trip Sunday on the stock seat and it was not real enjoyable the last couple hours. The bike itself will cruise those miles effortlessly though.

Congratulations! Hope to hear your trip report when you return. Would be very interested to hear your girlfriend's thoughts as a passenger too. : )

Have a great and fun yet safe trip!

I haven't tried the custom (pegasus) seat, but am definitely interested in Zac4mac's review since the OEM seat is most definitely not the best for long distances.

I can tell you that my wife's impression of the passenger accommodations is "%#$!#&%!#$^!$^#$". Roughly translated, this means "not real comfortable"...

Four pages of a thread last month.
I kinda hijacked it as my ride chronicles on my trip to South Texas and back from north of Denver.

Don't wanna do it here again.

I strongly recommend the tour seat tho.
I had one waiting when the bike was delivered in December.
Your butt will thank you every time you ride.

: )
