Hello, I was just asking how well the Laminer Lips out there are working for Uly owners? In September when I bought my Uly I searched and searched the BWB for posts and the Lam Lip was very positive from the owners. Just curious taking the pressure off shoulders and touring with the Lam Lip? Thanks Chas |

I had the lip on my Uly. Standard shield and also the tall shield (06), with the flip lip of the shield cut off. I put the lip on Sara's Scg and she likes it alot. I was not able to get the lip back if she was going rideing with me. I just put a set of Strada brackets on my shield. Like them better than the lip. I did need to play with the settings,I wish I had one of those box end wrenches that has the wratcheting mechanism built in, it would have made the adjustments simple to make. End result, I like the brakets better than the lip. I was able to listen to the xm radio in the helmet speakers at 70 MPH without needing to use ear plugs. Smooth air and shield is stable. I also like the "Industrial Age Look" of the silver brackets on the black bike. The lip worked well, but I prefer the brackets with the tall 06 shield, with the flip lip cut off the shield. In two weeks I am going for a 4 day trip with three others. I will then be able to better test the Strada Brakcets with the CB radio, longer distance high speed and if tradition hold, probably some inclement weather. |

I love the Laminar Lip. I've had it on for a long time (well, relatively) and it makes a huge difference for me. I did get rid of the "velcro-style" fasteners and bolted it to my stock Uly windscreen. I intend to keep it (and the bike) forever. |

Anyone have a pic of the Laminar Lip? I have one off another bike but its very wide and I think would look kinda funny on the stock screen but if its the same as what you guys are using I am willing to give it a try or order another smaller one. |

I just got one and need some advise on the starting placement of the lip on the stock shield. I am 6'0. Some have it a few inches higher than the stock and others have it about even with the top of the stock. Is there any formula to this? Or at least can someone say what happens to the air when the lip is higher or when it is even or lower than the stocker? |

With the lip you are limited to pretty much a single position. With the Brackets, you have 9 positions to choose from. More options - better chances of success. |
