 Well, my Daytona BOSS exhaust muffler just broke in half. 15 minutes into a 2 hour ride, the rear bracket holding the muffler broke and took the muffler with it bouncing down the road.  Broke at the weld , at the front of the muffler where the pipe expands and is welded to the main body. Unfortunatly, I bought it July 17th, 2001 and was told that it only had a 1 year warranty period. Now, after 3 broken rear brackets and a muffler that broke in half (the front muffler bracket still holds the front half of the BOSS, nice and tight too). I am now TEMPORARILY re-installing my stock muffler untill I can afford another brand muffler. I love reading all the messages posted good and bad for info on other exhausts.

Dart,
I have my takeoff V&H from my 99 M2. I had removed the elbow which came black and had it coated to match my header. The pipe has hung tight for about 10,000 miles. I replaced it with the new Buell piece because the elbow needs some new rivets to the can and I wanted to play with disk feature in the Buell pipe.
If you are looking for something cheap, how does $45 shipped sound? It is in very good shape, has the rear bracket, no problems at all with the welds and just needs new rivets and it will get your stock muffler off.
If you are interested, let me know. It is just sitting here.

Who told you you only had a one year warranty?
If it was the dealer ignore them and contact Stainless Specialties directly. Mine was sold with an implicit lifetime warranty. In fact mine will be going back to them for a repair this winter.
