Just got my new (old) '97 S1 and it has 11-year-old D204s on it. Think I might want to change 'em. Anyone experienced these modern tires on our "old" bikes? HellBuelly J |

Not the ones you mention, but I just put Michelin Pilot Road2's on my S2. So far, I love 'em! (about 300 miles in, still pretty much new) Nice tip-in, nice and neutral through turns and through the lean progression, left-right and right-left transitions are nice and solid. I've always run D208s on my tubers, but I like these a lot more already. Time will tell on lifespan. |

I mounted up a new set of Qualifiers last month on my X1,now it corners like a Go-Kart. |

I run qualifiers! Great tires! 5,500 miles on rear tire starting to show metal! |

For sure the Qualifier is sticky, but for how many miles? 5K and the wire is showing? So, that means at 3-4k the tire was done?!(with safety in mind),not too good. |

I would say most people with safety in mind would have probably changed it around 4,800 miles. But I tend to push the limits a bit! |
