Rubberdown- I spent the morning cleaning the garage and discovered I still have the set of Joe Rocket saddlebags you loaned me back in '05. I thought about running them to bike night in SP tonight, but I've got family coming over. I'll have to remember to get them back to you at some point. |

I hope lots of C3'ers can make it! If I would've finished my latest mods in time I would've made it. Unfortunately the XT-BOLT is still in pieces... Hopefully there will be a next time, and hopefully I won't be taking a perfectly functional, nearly brand new motorcycle apart then. Hope the turnout is good! 1313 |

Hey, Anybody (M2nc, perhaps? or even the pdf - from those that can get it - would be fantastic) have the Uly saddlebag bracket instructions that they could scan and Email to me? The service manual doesn't describe it very well and I'm thinking the instructions that come with the kit are much better, especially for adjustment/alignment. Email is dedsld at either yahoo.com or suddenlink.net Thanks in advance! They came off real easy... 1313 |

Well, Kristi and I made home from Southern Pines Bike Night. The turn out looked pretty good. We hated to bug out early but had to get the kids and Kristi did not want to travel back at night. That was a good idea because the bugs were out in full force. We rode from Southern Pines to Hookerton NC, where Kristi's dad lives, non-stop. That is about 150 miles and for Kristi a personal best. 1313 - I do not know if we still have the saddle-bag installation instruction. I'll see if we can find it. Smilee says hi! |

As always, it was great to see the C3 gang and meet the one of the newest members. Wish we could have stayed, but don't want to take advantage of the grandparents. It was a good ride today. Coming home was a bit cold for me. I should have packed a fleece...of course, Carlos tells me once we're picking up the children that he had one packed! Maybe I should have let him talk to me on the way home!! |

Carlos, A quick phone call to MTB rectified the situation. I got the info I need! Tomorrow the XT-Bolt will be back on the road with a mild facelift - again something I feel the XT should have been delivered from the factory with. Maybe I'm getting as opinionated as others on BadWeB... Maybe I'm just pleasing nobody but myself... I'm sure of the latter, and I'm hoping I don't fall into the previous - unless it's needed/useful (and I'm sober enough to type...). Thanks MTB!!! 1313 |

One thing that has hit me everytime I do something to the XT-BOLT is how often I find the # 13. From putting the Firebolt front fairing on, here is 0013 on one of the dash pieces:
U4euh, does the Torx screwdriver look familiar? It's almost as if you are a part of everything I do with the XT-BOLT, even though you are not in the garage with me physically. From the tail transformation I found two instances. 013 on the license plate bracket:
And 0013 underneath the battery in the trunk:
MTB- Thanks a million for the instructions! They are by far better than the service manual. The kit instructions made a direct and easy job of it. It's GREAT to have this level of support! This afternoon after clearing some trees in my yard I decided to take it for what I thought would be a short ride. About 70 miles later I found myself back home. This was after nearly coming too close for comfort with a deer and coming WAY too close for comfort with a dog. It is possible to lock up the back brake on a stop from 70 to 0 mph RFN! Ironically it was almost at the exact same spot that a colleague hit a dog on his Katana and ended up breaking his collarbone. 1313 |

What made you decide to Line-X the grab bars? I threatened to have Carlos' bags Line-X'd after his last adventure! |

Excellent news Spike! Good luck on finding a new (or maybe old) Firebolt. Are we going to have another C3er on your Uly? |

Yep. It was actually a couple that I know from working at Ray Price. He was along for the demo rides at Ray Price, apparently demo rides work. Not sure if he'll be a C3'er, but I did tell him about badweb and advrider. If nothing else, the bike is still wearing a C3 sticker. |

The check hasn't even been deposited yet and I'm already going nuts. I got a price to get my old Firebolt back. There's an '04 XB12R with heli-bars on craigslist right now for $6k. A guy on advrider is selling his '02 Aprilia Falco for $5k. I have no idea what to buy. |
