I bought them after putting my bike down a few weeks ago. I figured I'd wire them up to run. I went to Leesburg this past weekend. It's about a hour and change ride. I get to the motel and the black housings are starting to melt. Don't buy them...go with the regular blinker. I ended up cutting the second filament led. Oh well... | ||

I have them and yes, I have a little bit of deformation on one. I value having running lights though. I've been hit and its no fun. | ||

Well that does suck. You been on the horn to the seller? I have a couple of hours on mine and I have just a small crease mark where the metal reflector touches the plastic.   | ||

i bought a set like those from Chaparral and have had no issue to speak of. And you never should. That links to a set of single filament signals. These other ones are dual filament and function as running lights, always on, and therefore a little bit hot. | ||

Nuthin wrong with relays. Just an extra part to stuff into an already small space... | ||

hmm... I put some thought into it and diodes could be used instead of relays... But you would need 2 diodes per signal (possibly just per side, I'm not sure how the grounds are configured between the front and rear), as opposed to 1 relay per side. Both have their advantages and disadvantages as far as space and power is concerned. Then again I'm a MechE and not a sparky so I could be completely wrong... | ||

I never took the pics...but its pretty much what is shown above plus some. The seller is unreachable. I've left numerous emails and nothing. I just cut them. I'll just use them as normal blinkers. I pulled my stockers because I put the bike down and snapped one off. Hell just tonight I was walking by the bike and my shirt cut the back blinker and ripped it right off. I had to gorilla glue the damn thing back together. $12.00 a pop. Guess that's what you get. | ||

Cramped space? In our 'bolts back end? Nawww, see you didn't get the memo -- you are supposed to take the trunk box out and then you will have plenty of space! If you guys figure out an always on solution that will work for blinkers let me know, I like to be seen too! | ||

I no longer have the trunk box. I was so pissed that the blinker housings were melting that I completely destroyed the box pulling it out. I have tons of room now. | ||

I think the only thing they may require is a load balancing resistor on the turn signal line. | ||

Just don't wire them to run, just blink. They are sweet looking but obviously don't do the job right. I'll keep you guys up to date. | ||
