Mistaandypants-all your mods may give you 2-3 hp on top...but will fairly substancially increase the midrange power. The jetting will also correct the factory lean "EPA" condition. It'll feel like a different animal. About Ducs...I considered a Monster while I was shopping for a Buell, but with parts being readily available, service and maintenance being much easier, and being able to get a bit more of a grunt without a whole lot of $$...the choice was easy. We're talking used, too. The day I buy a new vehicle... |

"tube frame era" I don't know if I like that or not, having two bikes from a different era. Hmmm, I think I do like it since I myself am from a different era. Now all I gotta do is slip an old Knucklehead into a Buell frame and I can really confuse the locals ... Aaron, Once I get a page open I hit the stop button that kills the annimation of the little critters. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it don't. Speaking of which, found this little guy someplace: |

thanks Rick A Thats good to know. I was just kidding about the whole ducati thing. I just had a vision of a rider with a giant Buell belt buckle scratching up his tank poppin wheelies down the street. I love my Buell. Besides there are so few Buells around here that everyone around here thinks it's Italian anyways."Is that a Boo-elle?" I've only seen 3 Buells in 4 years here in Winston-Salem. I need to start going to some of the Buell events. |

Brad, I'm finding it works sometimes today, and sometimes not. I assume they (the omnipresent "they" ) are lurking in the background and trying to snap-load upgrades between user activities. Probably tough to do since I'm certain there are a whole lot more page-peeks than there are page-postings. (I'll leave it up to others to translate that into admin-ese since my web-write class doesn't start until September.) ps, you can tell your wife that the S1 is less of a long-ride bike than the M2 so you'll be staying closer to home. Just don't tell her it's more of a hooligan bike and you'll probably be riding it more.

Can't afford a new set of tires - the old angle grinder takes care of that issue. But I would like to order one a them kevlar tank-tops. (Is there a model with built-in pec expanders? And maybe some chest hair around the edges?) Oh, and one more thing: Do you think one of you Photo Shop guys could paste my face inside Shooter's helmet on his profile picture? |

Just some information for those in the South east Wisconsin area. Buell Motor Company is having a open house Saturday August 3rd. One word of caution, Alpine Vally music center is hosting the Grateful Dead. So the area might be overwhelmed with deadheads. I have nothing against those who follow the Grateful Dead, just wanted to inform what other activities are happening in the area. |

The Psalm of Buell The Pegasus is my cycle I shall not want another It maketh me to lie down on muddy roads It skideth' when beside the deep waters It ruineth my nerves and leadeth me down paths of idiocy for its names sake Yea though I ride through the valleys I push up the hills It's motor and loose muffler they torture me and in the presence of mine enemies It teacheth me to fear the fast Limies It anointest my clothig with oil Its oil runeth over Yea verily the monster will curse me all the days of my life and shall dwell near a parts house forever |

Rall and Blake, Thanks, the bike is going to the dealer for the exhaust mount upgrade Monday, and I thought I would have them reset the TPS while its there, so now I will for sure. I just have a feeling something else is going on, as I've been riding the bike for over 2 years without the TPS reset and its been fine....but we'll see, I hope that'll do it Later Ben |

Hey guys. I've got a favor to ask of y'all. Tomorrow is the birthday of THE very special person in my life, my wife of 17 years, Michele (yes only one "L" ). I think that she sometimes gets the mistaken impression that my enthusiasm for motorcyling and BadWeB sometimes overshadows my feelings and commitment to her. If you have a free minute tomorrow or this evening, I would be much obliged if you could drop a quick email to Michele@potter-architects.com with a subject like "Happy Birthday!", or "Blake is one lucky guy!", or "A Buell has NOTHING over you!" or whatever clever/inspired clause you might think of and a short message on my behalf. If you have enjoyed/enjoy BadWeB, please relate to her about any positive impacts it may have had/has for you. Just please keep it clean, she's not the type to appreciate off color humor. And please limit messages to text only, no pictures (bandwidth concerns). I truly am greatful to have such a wonderful, beautiful, fun, sexy, intelligent and loving partner. Maybe a flood of email from my BadWeB friends, reinforcing/supporting that feeling, will help her believe it even more. She IS awesome and more than a fool like me really deserves. I am one lucky man. Thanks guys! Blake |

Has anybody else had belt failure at low mileage (3700)? Harley says they might cover it (maybe), it failed in first gear at full throttle. No evidence of a rock or anything! My local shop mechanic says he has only seen 2 or 3 fail like this but its up to the Company, I have extended warranty but its over $400 if the don't cover it. Has anybody else had it covered or do they always just blame road hazard? Tim |
