My friends Blues band is playing tonight at The Field in Bridgeport. They are pretty good and Arlee Leonard is singing. Saturday, April 19: WITH SPECIAL GUEST from New York/New Orleans Ms. Arlee Leonard! at The Field, 3001 Fairfield Ave. -- Black Rock (that's Bridgeport) CT. 1o p.m. Folks, if you've never seen us with Arlee singing up front, you're really missing something special! Arlee has sung everywhere from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival -- where she'll be performing once again on May 1 -- to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bangkok and Shanghai! She has a sultry delivery, a four-octave range and is an AWESOME jazz singer, but grew up steeped in the blues. (Arlee's parents, David & Roselyn, are celebrated New Orleans blues, roots and street musicians -- sometimes flown clear across the world as examples of New Orleans' music!) Arlee may be the best singer performing ANYWHERE in the state of Connecticut this month so come on out and get hip to it! The Field has good food (both a bar menu and a more haute restaurant menu) and a downright dizzying selection of beers! A great time is guaranteed for all! For more info: 203-333-0043 or www.thefieldrestaurant.net |

I just found out about some state parks in western Massachusetts that allow off-road motorcycles. So I called the parks department, and they and confirmed the rumor! Next chance I get, I'm heading out to tear it up!! Maybe this sunday... |

you can take your bike here: http://www.recreation.gov/recAreaDetails.do?contra ctCode=NRSO&recAreaId=223&contractCode=1 It's designed for dirtbikes but there are some trails you may survive, it's sandy in the lower area though. |

Trac95ker, thanks buddy. I had no idea you could off-road there. a little closer to Stratford too. I'll check it out on the way to Mass. |

Nick, its my co-worker that runs the site. He isn't too sure of what kind of turnout he is going to get, but odds are like usual I will be the only one not on a 4 banger. "What's wrong with your bike? Why is it shaking so much?" "What is that, a 600?" "Why does your bike have more luxurys than my car?" "NASA called, they want their suit back" I just love the looks on their faces when I answer |

I went up to Tolland state forest today. Made the mistake of following some kid on a four-wheeler out to the power lines. Got the bike bogged down in the mud, got out, continued up the steep part of the trail and realized the trail got too rough for the Uly. Had to muscle the bike around to go back downhill on the worst crap I ever had to ride on. Scarey stuff, boy! No traction at all, just Gods grace, and gravity got me off that hill. Too much fun. Never wiped out all day. Lots of dirt roads up there and not a lot of people (today anyway). After that I went to Thomaston dam and it was packed. I decided to leave because I thought I might be too slow for the dirtbikers and just get in everyones way. I was kind of tired from the ride in Tolland anyway. I will be back though. Did anyone check out the stuntnation thing? |

Hey Froggy, with the warm weather weve been having, I was wondering how that suit was treating you. The bike looks great by the way! |

The suit is freaking awesome, its much cooler than the adventure suit i used to use, despite having less ventilation. The free hydration pack helps a bit too |

Anyone on the Merritt (Rt. 15) Monday afternoon getting gas at the Orange rest stop southbound? Saw a yellow Blast, but you were leaving as I was pulling in. |

Saw a Firebolt heading North on the I95/Merritt Parkway Connector this AM - around 0640. Anyone? (Oh, and is anyone here anymore?)

I think everyone left. Anyway, it wasn't me. I couldn't fit on a Fire bolt if I tried (unfortunately). |

Huge thanks to Danbury HD/Buell for fixing my cooling fan that died riding from FL to CT. They were able to fit in the warranty work on the fan and a 10,000 mile service between Friday night and Monday afternoon, letting my wife and I get on the road to Homecoming Monday. We arrived in WI last night, and it wouldn't have been possible without getting that work done. Thanks! |
