Lakeland Florida Club(BRAG) BRAG Regional Event DEAL'S GAP,NC Sept.13-15,2002 In attendance Don,LaFayette,Richard,Ike,David, and Bob. That's five S3T's and one M2,Plus Davids dad Benny on a BMW whom we reffered to as a BRIT (Buell Rider In Training). All arrived by Thursday evening(12Sept). We did a short supper ride. FRIDAY morning(13Sept)all seven(7) went for a ride. Did Robbinsville,DEAL's GAP(THE DRAGON), Vonore,Tellico Plains,Charohola Skyway(did a picnic lunch),and back to Robbinsville. Then continued from Robbinsville,Stecoah,Fontana Village,DEAL's GAP Motorcycle Resort for a BBQ supper(7PM) and back to Robbinsville. Ths was a 200 mile plus ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SATURDAY morning(14Sept) Bob left for Lakeland. The remaining six(6) went for another ride, which was Robbinsville,DEAL's GAP(THE DRAGON),Foothills Parkway ,Townsend,Cades Cove,Stecoah,and back to Robbinsville. Then Robbinsville,Stecoah,Fontana Dam,Fontana Village (supper at 7PM),Stecoah,and back to Robbinsville. Another 200 plus miles which was in and out of the rain most of the day and evening. Only trouble we had(discounting the rain,BUT not being FAIRWEATHER RIDERS nobodie care'ed)one flat tire Friday 13th(rear of Richards-thank goodness for J.C.Whitney & Co)and a front cyl rear ex header stud Saturday) on Davids. There was a lot of Buellschitting going on at both suppers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A good time was had by all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all you Tampa/Lakeland are Buellers, I posted a suggestion under Orlando Buell Owners group to meet at Orlando Harley/Buell on Sunday, Oct 13, to ride to Cabbage Patch & the Ironhorse. ATT: Buellers Do you'll want to do a group ride to Daytona Biketoberfest Saturday 19 September????????????? The Plan IS: EAT AT 6am Craker Barrel Seffner I4 & CR579 EXIT 10(old 8). Have breakfast and leave at 7AM for Daytona by way of I4,I95,US92.Those of you whom wish to drop in behind us as we pass will have to plan for it. If the group leaves Seffner EXIT 10 at 7AM you should be able to be waiting at an ON RAMP. First stop in Daytona is the parking lot of Hop's restaurant across from the SPEEDWAY(where BATTLETRAX'S have been held). We can seperate into small groups that can better stay together,then do your thing. Meet back at HOP'S at 3PM for a late lunch and ride back together leaving at 4PM.
