Now that I have the Penske for the rear I have decided to send the forks off to a Race Tech service center. Some photos of the disassembly, the S1 has PM wheels and brake. Pictures of the Brake and pads removed; Here are some pictures of the axle and spacers, on the non brake side is the speedometer pickup and a small spacer between the speedometer and bearing. On the brake side is a single spacer between bearing and the fork. It's easier to loosen the axle nut with the bolts in the fork still torqued. Loosen the two socket head bolts (per side) and remove the axle and wheel assemble. At this point the spacers will be free agents; Up to the triple tree area. You will have two large socket head bolts one in the upper and one in the lower tree. I had two socket head bolts for the clamp-on handle bars and there are two socket head bolts and nuts for the head light retainer. Note: this is per side. Loosen all and gentle twist and pull the tubes out; Now with the forks out nothing but anticipation; A sub project of this is the upgrade to adjustable levers, the brake pictures above;
