What, you wanna see pictures of me pressure washing and sealing the driveway, doing laundry, and taking out the trash? |

I have a soft spot for unrefined vehicles. For the longest time my daily driver was an 82 Mustang hatch with low miles on it. I promptly gutted it, installed a cage, built a 347 stroker, ran a G-force t-5, spooled rear end, manual steering, manual brakes and towards the end, I was using a bottle of spray a week... She was mean and would annialate 95% of street going cars and a fair amount of non-street legal cars. My girlfriends hated her (and her rollcage), but loved me. I feel the same way about my Buell. When I was shopping, I looked at EVERYTHING. I test rode every bike I could get my paws on. The first time I fired up my Buell in the service department at AD Farrow, it was love. I haven't felt the same way about a bike since... |

Unrefined - Inelegant. Ungracious. Unpolished. Crude. It's a fair cop, I can't argue with that. |

something about throwing a leg over your bike hitting the starter button and hearing this rumble errupt below you Feeling your eyes and teeth shake in their sockets, Its not annoying its satisfying, part of the experience. As you move off feeling the bike respond to your inputs, going exactly where you look, The deep thrum, becomes a growling snarl,or when the front wheel at times gets air. The certainty that you won't see your self any time soon there may be 2 X1's in wilmington I have only seen 3 since the purchase of my own. Un refined most definately the most maintenence intensive vehicle I have ever owned,... also one of the most fun, and in the end thats why we own them. (Message edited by oldog on April 28, 2008) |
