what series are you running? I just did the front pinch bolts. I drilled the rear pinch bolt and the rear axle at a really steep angle in the hex part and wire those 2 together. I run CCS and they never gave me any problems. (Message edited by rocketsprink on April 27, 2008) |

Rules vary depending on the organization. Some make you just wire the pinch bolts, some make you wire BOTH the pinch bolts AND axle. |

I should have added that you have to drill across the head of the pinch bolts and wire them together. IF you have to wire the axle - it's a bit trickier. You have to drill just barely below the outer edge of the axle and then remove just a tiny bit of aluminum from the inside of the casting on the fork end so the wire will clear. Check rules before you do it - again SOME may not require wiring the axle. Drilling the pinch bolts is a pain. Best to go through both sides but not a requirement, you can just drill a single hole and make it work. |
