I made a few calls to some friends of mine and managed to find 4 edelbrock mufflers. These are the same ones that were used to make the Latus mufflers. These are the correct ones. Single inlet / dual outlet. I know because I just sold my Latus. Edelbrock no longer makes these mufflers. So they are pretty hard to find. They are all brand new in the boxes. When they were available they sold for $125. If anyone wants one I will be selling them for the same, $125 each. Plus shipping. (Message edited by tattoo72 on April 23, 2008) |

I'll post some pics when I get home tonight. The muffler case measures 3.5 x 7 x 17. |

Will it work on an XB? If so I'm interested. |

Hey Hogs if you cut off the inlets & outlets flush. Then add on your own, you can pretty much end up with an inexpensive Latus. Here is what a Latus looks like. If you check out the exhaust shoot out at www.americansportbike.com you can see even more pics of the latus mufflers. http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd72/tattoo7266 6/2008_0405dirtbike0007.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd72/tattoo7266 6/2008_0405dirtbike0005.jpg (Message edited by tattoo72 on April 23, 2008) |

I just bought a couple from the online edelbrock store, also. They're still available from what I can tell?!? $26 plus shipping. Pretty cheap alternative if you can weld and got an old stock muffler for the brackets. |

Donnie, What do you mean "almost"? Chris, Other than your own used bike parts, if you want to sell stuff here on BadWeB for a profit (be compensated for your efforts), then you need to be a sponsor. If you want to forego profit and magnanimously provide a service to your fellow Buell enthusiasts by providing new mufflers at your cost of materials and shipping, that is fine too. In either case, we'd also ask that you first obtain permission from Latus to reproduce their muffler, if that is indeed what you are doing. |

To clarify further: We have a number of sponsors who sell their parts on the side and some who have developed from what was a sideline into successful Buell aftermarket businesses. Kevin Drum (Drummer mufflers), Michael Oldfield (Special O.P.S.), DarkHorseMoto, and others all started up small too, much like you are doing now, but they all saw fit to sponsor before advertising and selling their product(s) here. It is simply the right and honest thing to do. I'm sure you can see that it wouldn't be fair to Drummer or Special O.P.S. or any of our sponsors to let you sell stuff here without sponsoring. The value of being able to advertise directly to tens of thousands of Buell riders is something that all BadWeBrs should want to protect, otherwise the value of sponsorship goes to nil and the bills for the place go unpaid and the place shuts down. That would be nice for my free time schedule I suppose, but I'd probably miss the place. Thanks for understanding. (Message edited by Blake on May 21, 2008) |
