I put one on my 00 M2. Got it per Al Lighton's sugestion for street riding. Wanted the most economical way to improve the rear brake. Al said the Wave rotor is good for cooling and lighter weight but not really an increase in stopping power.

Took me about 2 hours to install. Used a Pitbull swingarm lift. Also needed a ratchet strap around the tail to compress the swingarm so I could get to the left-side line clamp torx bolt. And a vise helped when it came time to remove the brake light switch from the old line and install it in the new one. Everything else was basic. A little teflon glue and a can of brake cleaner should be on hand as well.

The kit from Al was really nice, worth the 100 bucks. New bolts and crush washers, and the line fits perfect. You can use all the stock clamps. The new line is narrower and loose in the clamps but it doesn't hurt anything. I wrapped a little duct tape around the line in one spot where it rests against the frame.

After it was in I bled it the easy way, gravity. Had pedal in under a minute, brake light switch functioning in 2 minutes, and acceptable pedal in about 5 minutes of top-down bleeding. I gave it a couple hours of leaving the shop and returning to get rid of the last of the air bubbles.

How does it work? Seems to be better than the stock line. I still have to push hard to get any major stopping power but the modulation seems better. So it doesn't skid unless I want it to. And the finesse factor seems better in sketchy places like gravel roads and unpaved ruts.

Normally I'd take pics and hang this in the KV. But I didn't take any pics so am posting it as a PSA here in the Cyclone forum.

Also there's a little more shiny stuff that I can look at when i get bored.

Woohoo for shiny stuff, I put a flexible black heat shrink over my rear line (no shine) and a couple extra layers at the clamp points.

Definitely improves modulation, and a little extra oomph for street riding can be useful.

I thought it improved the rear brake, makes what little modulation is there, more precise. The stock rear brake feels very 'wooden' to me, really ON or OFF, and not that much difference between the two.
Plus now it matches the front brake line, also braided stainless.
