I just wonder why mine and more than few others do not exhibit this issue.

Very curious indeed. You can say this about most if not all the 1125r gremlins.

Ccryder, if your bike is a California bike it will have a charcoal canister and that will trap most of the gas vapor from the hot gas. My bike has no canister so it just spews the fumes out. That might be why some notice it and some don't

My 25r, to the best of my knowledge is a non-CA unit. Mine was purchased in TN and resides here in TN.

Ccryder, does it have 2 hoses that come down the right front and end just above the muffler? One is the tank vent and the other is the antifreeze bottle vent. My bike has both and the CA bikes probably would only have the one.

Mine is definitely a "49R", 2 hoses.
Boiled once, dribbled on the muffler too, moderately strong odor.
That was the only time, don't remember what kind of gas.

My radiator dribbled a bit 3 thousand miles ago too.

All quiet now.
Garage always smells like gas and WD-40, it's a garage.
It does NOT reek or make my eyes hurt, makes me smile.
