Just got a "third eye" bar end mirror,(I'll be ordering a CRG lane splitter soon) and can't decide if I should go left or right w/it. I always look over my shoulder anyway, but I'd like to hear some opinions B4 I put it on. |

Also, anyone know where I can get "caps" for my old mirror mounts? Thanks in advance! |

Whenever I've run one mirror, I've always used left side bar end. Auto habit I guess. Works great! (Couldn't be any worse than looking back at your elbows when you need to see the road/hazard/LAW.) Hex |

I went to the local hardware store, they had the perfect sized black plastic caps in the hardware section. Want to say it was a True Value. |

You can get caps for the mirrors at your buell Dealer. They are used on the firebolt to fill in the holes as the bolts use different mirrors. They are 2 different sizes I think. but the work well. (are a plastic plug, sorry don't have the part # but grab the parts guy and the microfiche and you should be able to locate them). as for the mirror. It appears Ohio just requires 1 mirror, but it doesn't say which side it has to go on. http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/misc/traffic_rules.htm If I was to only have 1 mirror, I would probably have it on the left as I think that would be more useful. I know with my my Crgs I can generally have a good view of behind me (way better than the mickey mouse ear view of my shoulders). -Patrick |

order your mirrors from Al at American Sport Bike, he always throws in the caps at no charge. |

I'm pretty sure the Federal DOT requirement for a mirror on a vehicle is left side but that's just for new |

left. easier to glance plus your hand usually doesn't want to leave the throttle if its in the way. i also believe Xgecko is correct. |
