Simplest thing in the world really. Just go over to the sponsor section, call any of the Buell Dealers, and one will be on its way. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on April 24, 2008) |

Q1064.1AM is what my box says. Most dealers have them now. If yours doesn't I'd be buggin' the heck out of them to get some. Zack |

I think my dealer is charging something like $16.00 and change, with the new o-ring. What is everyone else paying? Neil S. |

That sounds close to what I paid Neil. Don't recall exactly as I bought 3 when they received theirs in January. I'll be using the last one I have in a day or 2 when I do the 10k km service. Time to restock oil and filters... Al - keep us posted on availability of the SS filters. Z |

Let me get this right. You went to a Buell dealer and asked what oil filter a Buell needed and they told you they had "no idea". Please name the dealer. You can have a filter from any sponsor on this board within hours. If you go to a dealer and they do not have a filter for you bike, I'd walk and not come back. Dude. . . it's an OIL FILTER! |

wait till you see the price of the washers. The 2 drain plug washers Q0091.1AM(RS) $3.60 Q0092.1AM(LS) $5.00 filter was $14.91 With three quarts of Syn 3 thats over fifty bucks to change oil. than again Price is not to bad, Gas just hit $3.999 per gal Prem. An old trick I got from an I-4 Mechanic. Turn the washers over and reuse them one more time. (Message edited by Two_Buells on April 24, 2008) |

the orings on my 03 xb9 are the original ones. 22,000 miles worth of oil changes and they still dont leak. |

I've got some of that left over Loctite thread sealant (w/ Teflon) from my 12r. Can I use it on my 25r drain plugs????? Neil S. |

Maybe this is a stupid question, but why is everyone replacing the drain plug washers along with the oil? It's a metal washer, not an o-ring. I didn't notice any markings on my washers to even make me think it could possible be a good idea for replacement... |

Just call some people "AR" ;+} Or maybe it because the SM said to do that? Oops couldn't be the SM, could it ;+} I'd better run B4 I get into too much Sh!t. |

The only reason(other than the SM saying so... what SM???) would be if the surfaces are buggered up. Gently swirl each side on 600 grit wet-dry in a figure-8 a few times and you have fresh sealing faces. There is a time and place to be cheap... Z |
