My high beam, turn signals and tail light have stopped working. Brake light and regular headlight are OK, as is the fuse for the lights. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks in advance. |

Sounds like a chaffed wiring harness. Start under the fly screen make sure everything is good and connected, and follow the wiring all the way back through the bike. I believe it tends to happen right below the steering neck, but don’t quote me |

Did you have the left switch pod off the handlebar recently for anything? |

Thanks, Froggy. I was wiring in a Backoff! XP tail light modulator when this happened, so I'll check the rest of the harness near where I made the connections by the fuse block. |

Ratbuell- As mentioned above, I was wiring in a Backoff, based on a few previous posts on this site. Stripped off the wrap on the harness near the fuse block and wired the unit in with bullet connectors and the ground connected to the ground screw near the front end of the fuse block. The ground connection looks solid, as the unit works, but the collateral damage is what I'm trying to figure out. Appreciate all the help. Randal |

soewe812 on ADVRider posted the winning answer with the suggestion to check the accessory fuse as some of the lighting components go through it as well. Thanks everyone. Randal |
