In the Big, Bad & Dirty section of the board there is a thread running for the heat issues. Matter of fact there are several, but one is specific has a ton of information about how one rider has worked with Odie to solve this issue...

Thanks yall for the info. I have four more days until I go back to work so I will start looking into fixing this issue first thing in the morning. I hope to have it fix by the end of the next homestand cause thats when I plan on another long ride and if I end up with another burn mark I will have to bill Erik for a skin graph. Well now I can say I got a Buell Tattoo |

My X1 use to cook my right leg riding around town but I haven't had that problem with the XB. I do have the left and right side scoops off the bike but many owners will say don't do that.
BTW here's a reminder for all:
How to register for the Inside Pass on Tuesday, September 23 at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX.
Buell owners only call between 7:30 – 3:30 CT at 888-390-4020 ext. 901. Have your VIN available.

Does anyone agree that there seems to be a lot of motorcycle accidents being reported in the metroplex than in past years? |

Seems like there's at least 1 a wk on the evening news, "Rice Rocket on LBJ going insanely fast, rider went over the side of the overpass, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah"
Weather is getting nice so folks are bringing out the toys before they're ready to play. |

Future thinking here: Me thinks I'll be putting my BadWeb name on my bike at ECR for Inside Pass.
Black sharpie on blue painter's tape. 1 on the bike, 1 on the back of my leathers.
That way anyone who wants to punch me in the mouth for any transgressions I've done here can find me easier.  |

There is an interesting/funny story behind this, I am sure. If you pull a Court on me and give me the, "Remind me to tell you..." routine, I'm gonna have to find & pester you at ECR for it!
Bike goes on the trailer tonight, and on my way to Kerrville tomorrow morning. Here's to hoping the weather is nice this weekend down there. |

I may be wrong but unless I heard repetitive reports, hours apart, there has been 3 accidents today involving motorcycles.
If I had no choice but to ride on highways to get to work, I'd drive my truck. |
