Lonnie - welcome to C3! You'll find that C3 has many "members", but are very spread out over this long state. If your local dealer is having an appreciation day, etc. again, post it here for others to know about. |

lonnie-Greensboro Hd/Buell will have to step up their game. Plain and simple. I've been into the store(off Randleman Rd) several times since getting my Buell, I am on their mailing list in fact. But never knew any of the mentioned events were taking place. I just totaled Tonya's car Saturday night. Going around a corner, big truck looked like he was not gonna turn, I shifted right then left and caught the right rear tire off the pavement, the tail slid and i counter steered, but it was too late. slid backwards into a small embankment, but large enough to launch the car into the air. The car started to spin( 3 full rotations) while taking down a fence made of 2x6x20 rough cut wood. One of the boards came through the back window, missed the seat by 16 inches and then knocked the rear passenger side door off the hinges. the only window that did not break is the drivers side, the only part of the car not to strike a post was where I sat. one post went through the rear door, another through the trunk. I'll post up some pics when I get a chance. Somebody put their hands on my shoulder's that night, and I am listening! Twig- no problems, Spectrum and myself had a really great ride. always nice to get out into some of my favorite scenary. We stopped and took a few good pictures, which I will also post WIGAC. |

Damn, Jim. glad you are ok and were traveling alone. Cars, like bikes, can be repaired/replaced...lives cannot. |

Jim here's a little diversion to take your mind off of things. Gearhead posted this over in the 1125R section. As we talked about, the 1125R fairing and spider will bolt right up on a XB. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=290431&post=1126019#POST1126019

Well I left work and forgot to grab the camera out of my desk. Thanks all! Nothing anybody can really do(thanks though). Were gonna be looking at good reliable cars now. That was Tonya's car and it was paid for with only liability insurance. Yes I was very lucky, the pictures will show just that. Talk more later |

I registered for the RP event yesterday and ended up with a coupon for 15% off one item from the parts department. Took me a second to think of anything I neededd, then remembered seeingstars belt! That's like $20 off! I'm ready to do the XB9 conversion. When is a good time for the involved parties? |

I got a lead on a Firebolt, so it's time for the Ulysses to go. Asking price has been lowered to $8400, but I'm still open to offers. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 352914.html http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33 1524 |

I'll be at the show saturday, sunday I have to go to the mountains to my grandfathers momorial, and the next weekend I'm going to new jersey for his funeral. If I end up not going to jersey I'll have to work, since its my sat to work. We'll talk during the show to see if we could do it during a weeknight. -mike |

The 2x6x20
Found a lot of stuff out past the car in the direction of travel. which after thinking about today, if I had not been wearing a seat belt, I would have been thrown in the same direction,if not place, that the fence post came through. |

Damn Jim. Hope Tonya wasn't too attached to the Saturn. Not sure if you all read Quick Board or not, but I've got another Military Care Package going out tomorrow if anyone would like to contribute. There are a couple of threads on Quick Board and several members have PayPal'd $$ to send BadWeB active military personnel care packages. Just thought I'd mention it. Our first package (2 actually) went to Devdawg from Jacksonville. |

Jim the shots of the Saturn are crazy. We are truly fortunate you were not injured. On another note I especially like the shot of you with a knee down on the 11. Can you send me the high-res shots of our ride. It is kind of amazing the range of events that transpired in a single day. I for one am very thankful that you are still with us and look forward to your company and the opportunity to ride with you another day. |

Thanks all- I used it as an oppurtunity to teach my students at school how important it is to wear safety equipment. on a side note the big orange dog bed hangin out of the trunk, the kids screamed out that air bag was orange-LOL 1313-it will go out tommorrow! Spectrum-they will be on their way 2 night! Can't wait myself, had a great time. U4 got poled! Now that is funny! Thanks The Saturn really is not made to be driven away from an accident I suppose, but it did its' job, Thank Goodness. |
