Has anyone heard of an aftermarket muffler for the Firebolt yet? It's my only "complaint" with the bike so far (1015 miles). It just seems like it should be a little louder or deeper. |

Only one I've seen so far: http://www.hsaexhaust.de/index.htm There is a post in the exhaust section of the KV about this company from Jerome. |

I agree that the Firebolt seems like it should be a bit more commanding-sounding, given the sounds you can pull out of a 1200 Buell, but the more I ride mine, the more its sound grows on me. Like it's just waiting for you to goose it and surprise everybody. I'm still waiting on the full race kit. None of this piecemeal upgrading for me. Course, I suppose that hinges on the price/performance gains. |

The pipe Misato posted looks a hell of a lot nicer than the Buell race pipe. Where can I get info about that pipe? |

I am going to be looking for some major track time after that. Maybe I can come see your shop. I gotta go to Kansas anyway might just have to take a detour. Thanks again, Ross Republic H-D/Buell Stafford, TX |

Wayne, My God son, for 1,400 USD you could fly to NYC, buy the race kit for $619 + VAT, and fly home after you've had a weeks vacation in NYC, the capital of the world. |

Ray, You haven't paid for a hotel in NYC lately have you? Wayne, I'm sure ASB would be glad to help. On which wire to snip, if we can get a photo of each ECM installation, one export and one domestic, we can probably tell which it might be. The race kit should eliminate that problem anyway. |

First offal daves thanks a million for the offer, But like all thinks, when you mention some thinks to someone the ball start rolling, I’ve spook to a friend off my, for a Ups pickup/delivery , and he told me he has a agent in Houston tx, And Thad gay, is willing to get it from the local dealer en send it over. I went to my dealer, to have a look in the brochure ( looks very promising , nice detail on the dual outlet pipe) And he told me he had al ready ordered one, because he noes I like a wee bit more sound from the muffler. as he heard off my plans to buy it overseas, he made me a deal I can’t resist he ‘s charging me $800 for the complete kit ,mounting for free. Al things adding up, the ups for a $100, import tax $???. I don’t think I made a bad deal. My dealer calls me tomorrow, on the ETA. Greetings, Bud Proud to be ( almost ) LOUD |

*#@!&#, MY dealer colt , He made a minor mistake , normally the US. Pricing x 1.34 = the price in holland He got the official price, € 1030,00 and the exchange rate USD: EUR is about 1:1 So he told me that the agreement that we have can’t go trough . I understand that he can’t sell the race kit under his buy in price. So back to the USA. Wayne, For a transfer price, best if you check the UPS site. And if you let someone repack the kit , and state the value at $ 150,00 the tax, won’t be to must. ( al little riskfull, if you insure the stuff, when it goes wrong you only get the given value ) http://wwwapps.ups.com/servlet/QCCServlet?iso_language=en&iso_country=GB for the transfer price. Gr. Still no aftermarket mufflers for the XB's after all these months? I thought about buying the factory one but everytime I see the picture of it, I cant help thinking of the fetal pig we did in biology class! A guy I work with said it did sound good though, just not as loud as the tube frame Buells. Anyone else heard anything about upcoming mufflers? |

SportTwin was braggin about havin a new website soon. Since they are pretty close with the D&D guys you may want to check or ask them about an aftermarket pipe for the XB... |

I have to say that I heard several XBs with the Buell race pipe in the Poconos, and they sound friggin' mean. And they look pretty cool too. Sure is heavy though! |

LOL...mine will probably get repainted this winter. And I need to bend the rear edges of the pipes back out. A pox on the careless handler who dropped mine! I do love the dual tailpipes, though. Bryan |
