Im installing the aftermarket fork springs in my M2 and its got me thinking about the other half of the equation. Seems to be that most find the Showa shock to be "junk" and purchase the Penske or Works brand shock to remedy the suspension. Is that because the Showa is not re-buildable or able to be modified for better performance? Thanks in advance. Travis |

Depends on what you do with the bike. If you just tool around on it a little then spending up will only make your wallet lighter and you ego bigger. If you race it then perhaps a fully adjustable option would be the way to go. |

Ego has nothing to do with this. I want to fully learn the feel of my M2 and think Id be best served by upgrading the suspension. Is the Showa rebuildable, or am I looking at a $700.00 investment? |

i have put an ast shock in my m2,before that it had occasionally bottomed out with just me on it,so no chance of me and the other half going for a ride out, they set it for my body weight, its very adjustable,so far i havent sorted it spot on but its way better than the stock shock,it cost me £530 and went on without much trouble, placement of the remote reservoir was the hardest part,i have a x1 chin spoiler on mine so drilled two holes in the r/h support bracket and jubilee clipped it to that, recomended mod.have read that the best performance mod you can make is to improve the suspension,i would agree with that,it dosnt matter how much power you have if you cant use it. |

I've often wondered if one could make such a linkage and use maybe,a Ducati shock absorber, they,re cheap in ebay-the German setup must be close to two grand now since the dollar has gone sour. |

Gravedigging, I know, but does anyone have any information on this push setup pictured? I tried both companies with no luck. |
