I went out for a ride today to try and determine whats up with the carb. It was very nice and sunny but cold as hell. Took some pics of the unit and a couple pics of my buddies Ducatti SR2 Monster.
These two bikes match up quite well but are very different. M2= Corvette Ducatti =Ferrari
Anyhow, I like the look of my bike with the new ceramic exhaust including the stock muffler. Jury is still out on the intake...kinda big doncha think?? I like the tail section with the clear lensed led tail lite. Much cleaner lookin. Now if I could get that carb thing figured.... |

I thought that intake was a turbine at first.Very Nice looking M2 I have one bar end mirror on the clutch lever side and I can see a lot. I have a new stock muffler I've yet to use, maybe a could get a nice stainless header and then do the muffler like yours-I want to be more stealthy than loud. TT |

That air intake looks like a jet engine. Pretty bike, real clean. |

Very sexy bike!! Is it supposed to be that low the tail though? Looks like mine does now that the rear shock is broken. |

i have got the same intake, works great with hsr 42 MIC. not so well with the Cv...to much air pressure at speed, air Drags the piston of the CV( push is aginst the sidewall of the carb body.

Dark Horse, you are the man! I have been beating my head against the wall with this carb thing. Everything indicates lean cept the plugs are a dark brown and seem to be staying that way. To go to a larger main jet, according to everything Ive read here, you need more engine work than I have. I believe this intake does actually flow much better than the stock air box as when it does spool up without missing, you cant keep the front wheel on the ground in first and it never used to do that before. I might just have to order up a Mikuni from Al and get this over with..... |

By the way, I dont work for any one but myself and sorry if I stepped on any toes about the non sponsor link.... The filter itself looks like a forcewinder conical thing but the front end has a plastic chrome knob on it and the housing(carbon fiber) negates the use of the force winder sock. It rains up here alot. |

Glad to help, it took me a loot of tunning to find out what was going on, i had a long talk with the Mikuni guys and with my dyno guy. On the dyno the motor would be dead on tune. when we took the bike on the road it would act up. when it was acting up i put ,u had over the intake and it would go away. we tuned the air cleaner up and it also got better. put the HSR on runs great. The jet engine look for me is what i was going for I fly a learjets and thats what it looked like to me the fron of a garret 337. Bg |

Those side pods were made in Japan and probably appeal more to the Japanese aesthetic... hence the titterings. |

All you need is some canards up front that come out where the turn signals are, and delta wings that exit from the swingarm and you should be able fly that thing. And if you can get those nozzles to tilt upwards you should be able to VTOL |
