Frank, Really nice meeting you and your wife. The 4 of us did Highway 9 then took the short cut to Divide, Woodland Park, Deckers and 285 back to Denver. Much less wind going back that way. Thanks Zac for the washers! Have to meet up again. (maybe up this way too). Had 321 miles for the ride for me today. JC |

Make a note for next weekend to head up there to go riding with you all. Let me know when you plan on riding and I'll try to make it. |

Sounds like everyone made it home OK; that's good. The group kinda evaporated at the end. Dan and I blew past the exit for 115, shrugged at each other and rode 50 to Pueblo and found I-25 then home. Dan looked pooped when we parted at Hwy 52, I know I am. 420 miles today for us, I had a great time. All happened pretty quick, wish I had more time to learn who is who and such. I enjoyed my burger with Ryan. I felt bad for the Harley riders.
Night all Zzzzzz |

I would just like to apologize to anybody riding behind me. I was just completely out of it riding yesterday in that wind. My concentration was blown and I know I was all over the road in the curves. That combined with my confidence still not being where it should be after I had a bad crash a few years ago I just sucked in the curves. So once again i am sorry for anyone who had to be behind me. |

Dan, no need to apologize. That wind was really bad. I had the same problems. I baby the S2 in the corners, although it is very capable in the twisties, and was fighting the wind the whole time. I could not hold a line at all. Lynn and I went back via 50 and took a bypass around Pueblo to get to I-25. That puts us real close to home. If you remember the exit for the old race track (PPIR), I think exit 122 before Fountain CO, is where we get off the interstate. Lynn and I were beat and I had a killer headache from my head being bounced around by the wind. A couple of my, non-Buell american v-twin, riding buddies came by 5 minutes after we got home and wanted to putt around for a bit. I laughed and got a beer. I was hurting bad. It was great to see you again and always great to see a couple of Tubers. 2 M2s, a S2T, a S3T and a S1 at my count. Zac, thanks for the pics. I thought maybe you had one of me trying to steal your 1125r. LOL...

Fun ride yesterday. Wind was bit on the nasty side but still a fun ride. Looking forward to warmer days, more twists and turns and less wind! Ride Safe! |

Julie, I am sorry you and Dan could not join us. Maybe next time but will see you in Taos for sure. Kitty, glad you could make it out and join us for a ride. That wind was something else. I was hurting pretty bad when I got home from the wind throwing my head around. John, great talking to you and keep us informed of the activities up North. I would have liked to taken 67 up with you guys but had to get home. I guess the next big ride is the Gateway ride. I just found out that Lynn will be unable to make that one but I still plan to attend. Hopefully I will have time to work on the S2 (oil leak). I have electrical problems with the S1W right now and am helping a friend with his X1. The garage is full of Buells and 50 percent of them actually run LOL. I have been riding the XB to and from work every day. It makes it worth actually going to work. I am looking forward to 40 degrees and above in the morning. Frank |

We thought about joining you guys but Sunday's we go to church. It would be nice to put some rides together on Saturday's. Both Dan and I did a race school thru MRA on Friday at Pueblo and had a blast. I was the only female in a group of about 23 participants. Have little or no chicken strip on both front and back tires. Got to learn a lot about my bike and me (a joining of spirits). Scraped my Right boot on the ground once and hit the whisker on my Left peg once. That was a bit scary cause the bike tried to go upright and I had to really throttle on and lay it over to stay on the track. Put a bit of tension in my head afterwards. Well, next time on the track, either I'll take the whiskers off the pegs or put on the 12R pegs to get them up a bit higher. (Goal is to scrap knee pucks) Would love to see more Buells on the track!!! (we were the only ones) |

Whisker? |

OK, I didn't know what a "whisker" was either until I went to the dealer last Saturday to have the plastics changed out. I was telling my favorite salesman, Clint, about my day on the track and HE is the one who mentioned "whisker". I had no idea what he was talking about. It's the piece that comes off the end of the foot peg that would hit the ground first. So....what is it actually called??? |

Feelers sounds good. My hubby said that that's what he's called them. He said that maybe "whisker's" is more of a Harley jargon..?? Thanks |

Hi Everyone, Change in plans, lets meet at 11:00 am at the Conoco because it is going to be much colder than was originally forcasted. I do think that by 11:00 am it will have warmed up enough to have a decent ride. Dan |

12 Buellers met for breakfast yesterday and 10 of us did the ride over to Golden, up golden gate canyon to peak to peak highway, over to coal creek canyon and back, About 82 miles. Both canyons were clean but peak to peak highway was very sandy. Was a little chilly up there too. But all had a fun time. JC |

Sorry I missed it...this past weekend was my National Guard drill weekend. I would have loved to have joined you all on that that ride through Golden Gate Canyon. I just purchase 30 acres of land in Golden Gate Canyon, and it is fast becoming my new stomping grounds. A little gravel still on the road, but ya gotta love those twisties!
Some good dirt/gravel roads for the Uly too! |

Information on our June ride to Gunnison. Hello All, Rooms have been reserved in Almont Co. for the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Ride on June 21-22 I set up a block of 5 rooms and got a special rate of $90 for the Saturday the 21st. You can call them at 1-970-641-4009 and they are reserved under my name. I spoke with a nice lady named Dawn about all this. Their website can be viewed at www.almont resort.com. There are 3 streamside cabins and 2 others in the same area. We are still ironing out final details on the ride route but this can also be discussed during the June meetings. As usual, e-mail me or call if any questions(303) 360-6456 Talk with you guys soon, Dave |

Hi Everyone, Sunday, Mothers Day, looks like it will be warm enough for an early ride leaving the rest of the Day for other activities. If you want to ride, lets meet at the Morrison Conoco and be ready to leave at 9:00 am. We rode the canyons last week so maybe a run to Deckers would be good. Dan |

Dan and I signed up for Inside Pass track day at Vegas. Am soooo excited. It happens the weekend of Femmoto which we'll be doing also. The Friday of Femmoto is open to men on the track, using your own bikes. The weekend is for women only on the track and is well worth the trip. It's the first weekend in October. We'll be driving down with the RV and trailer and making some stops on the way to explore some twisties between here and Vegas. CAN'T WAIT |
