Like Zac, did some riding with my son Mike in the Rockies today around Utah. His SV1000 playing catchup to my 1125. Used to be me playing catchup on my M2. Did just 120 miles in the canyons/twisties and fuel just took 2.5 gal. at 105 miles and kept it under 7500 but spirited riding. That looks like 42 mpg but does not matter, after all its a super bike. I'm lovin' life.

Wheels are semi-spoken for. Possibility of a trade for Shovelhead parts for the wheels for a drag bike, not a certainty tho... PM if interested. Tim, I rattle-canned a couple of cans of clear lacquer on the frame and swingarm to fill in the texture and get a semi-decent finish. It's not perfect, but real close to what I had in mind. I sure rubbed it a lot. Lots of Meguiar's wax too. The blue blends with the black now, instead of clashing with it. Had to do the airbox, so Bearly doesn't try to ride off on Loretta at Homecoming. Hey zac, i don't see the turn signals in the mirrors? Did you smoke the lenses or change out the mirrors?? |

Couldn't see out of the OEM mirrors even as well as on my 90" Shovelhead. Replaced them with Firebolt Mouse-ears. Z |

Turn signals optional? or did you arrive at another solution. Bike looks great |

I re-wired the turn signals to the running lights in front. They aren't real bright, but judging from SUV rear door reflections, it's visible enough if just the lo-beams are on. I also use hand signals for emphasis. Z |

Yea, Zack, Let's not leave the Keys in the bikes! "Let's see if I can spot my bike, it's getting dark out here, yea... there's my bike with the touring seat, dropped pegs and the amber wheels!" (Message edited by bearly on April 16, 2008) |

1125R with my XB12R with an 1125R fairing. Can't wait to get the XB on track with this fairing, should be an aero advantage!

Arillius you have a nice bike but I think that picture isn't the best way to show off your bike. The 1098 really steals the show in that picture. I think he is thinking how much cleaner looking his bike is. Take a pic without the sexy red Italian ride behind it. |
