I am cutting my losses on my Streetfighter sportster project. I have lots of stuff for sale. Pics will come later or look up Project Cruel Intentions on the XL forum. The heads, cylinders, and pistons are fresh and ready to bolt on, never installed on my bike. They are sitting in my bedroom as well as most of the other parts. STD heads- beautiful full port/polish with oversized valves, springs for up to 650 lift, dual-plugged, 30* squish, brand new valve guides and seats by NRHS, breather holes drilled/tapped for sportster but can work for Buell. My favorite part about these heads is that the second plug runs between the pushrods instead of through the top of the rockerbox. Axtell cast iron cylinders bored to 1212 cc with Hurricane 11:1 dome pistons cut with 30* squish to match heads. Pistons are already installed with proper ring gap via NRHS. Cylinders and heads are cut together for a "fire ring" instead of a head gasket. 4 brand new o-rings are included. Because of the fire ring I will only sell the heads and cylinders with pistons together. The heads in this form alone run about $2000/pair, Axtell cylinders are $400/ea new and pistons were $400. I'll sell this whole setup for $2300. Other stuff include: Mikuni HSR 42 sportster/buell carb east kit with 3 extra main jets and two more slow jets (the next sizes up). Never installed, $240. SE .536 cams and lifters (used but not in my bike) $190. Stock manifold, mild port/polish $35. stock CV carb w/ 185 main jet $40. stock rocker boxes clearanced for big springs and cams, black with polished center spacer $70. XB complete top end gasket kit $50 XL/Buell '91-'03 rockerbox gaskets $28 There's a lot more stuff, but I can't remember right now. Let me know if you're interested in anything. Things change. Like emotions, opinions change too. Assumptions, based upon presumptions, are sometimes based more upon emotion than upon factual observations. But, yep, YMMV I like Axtell, I just can't afford them. |

Aaron put Axtell barrels on my personal S2. Ron Dickey, at Axtell, is the HD motor building equivalent of American Sport Bike. In addition to being a really nice guy, he's smart as a whip and a fun guy to know. Axtell is a name that has always been associated with "The Best". Court |

Yep, Your Mileage May Vary, as in some people might have one opinion, but someone else will have a different opinion, and sometimes those opinions change over time. Didn't mean to hijack the thread, just didn't want one opinion to turn anyone off of your items (which do sound nice). Looks like nice stuff. |

everything listed here except the heads, cylinders & pistons, stock carb, and XB gasket set are sold. The top end is on ebay, I lowered the price to $1750 firm. Motivation is to buy a Buell once everything is sold. I also have a Bunch of tuber front end parts on ebay as well. My Ebay ID is phelan_z06. Type in STD Axtell in the search field and mine should be the only one that comes up. I can't post links on my iPhone. |

...Is there any reason I would not be able to bolt this up to my '01 S3? I am in the process of pulling the motor, was going to get it freshened up, but this setup is looking really good... |

does it have the sportster style breather holes? If so then I believe it would work fine if you use your FI manifold 'n' such. Actually I'm sure it would bolt up, you'd just have to find out how to tune the FI for the 11:1 compression and stuff. |
