Insurance is not covering it unless there is damage over my deductible. The pin was enabled on the security and I have all keys. But, I am interested to know if the rear disk lock is still on there. Was is ignorant is I have to pay this storage fee and towing as the bike was parked in front of my apt door. I am still trying to find out if the bike has been fingerprinted yet.

By the time you get all new plastic, seats, tires, brake rotor, pads and anything else that got screwed up you will be "over" your deductible.

I hope that you play it smart and don`t end up getting screwed any more than you already have.

Yep, everyone wants your money. If I have learned one thing, that's it. Good luck.

I think it should be a crime to have to pay to get YOUR STOLEN BIKE BACK. That is just theft pure and simple. I hate those f***** so f****** much!

Those guys that found it, picked it up, and are keeping it for you arent doing it out of the kindness of their heart. They have to eat too, Id be thankful for the recovery.

Now, the insurance company not paying for that, thats the real crime here. Insurance companies are the root of all evil.

Eating is one thing but Scamming Cash off the backs of hardworking people is BS... Guess what all these places are CASH only when it comes getting vehicles out..

After my accident someone I was with gave the Business card of my dealer with the address for my bike to.. I know for a fact the Tow truck driver got it.
I went on to hospital on a liter board..

Two days later I limped into my dealership only find out my bike never made it there..

Then I had to go through the Drama of tracking down by bike only to find it in a huge Compound in BFE, Then I had to take the day off work.. I paid the storage and insurance paid an extra time to have it towed which we end up paying for...

They even tried give me shit for calling another Company to have it towed to my dealer.. I stifled that real quick, Being a big Angry Greek with hickory Cane probably helped

I've been always good to Tow truck drivers, I've alway thrown 10 or 20 spot their way..

After this last experience I have a bad taste in my mouth...

If I learned anything is check your policies because 45 or god forbid 150 dollars a day you could get in trouble real fast...

Teddagreek-
Not to defend the tow guys (I think they rip you off handily), but, if the responsible party for the vehicle is not present when the tow gets there, it has to go to their yard until the bill is settled...the insurance company is SUPPOSED to send their adjuster to the yard and take care of everything AND cover the transport to the dealer or wherever you want it to go to get fixed.

Sounds to me like your insurance bent you over after you got off the liter board

just a little info from how it works in Cali.
