Hey everyone keep an eye out for VIN 00214 and please PM me and call the police. I had my 1125R stolen early this morning between 1:30 am and 5:30 am in Augusta, Ga. I did have full coverage and Gap insurance but if you see a frame/tank with this VIN or engine block please notify me and the authorities. Your help is greatly appreciated. Apparently this happens every year here in Augusta when the Masters golf tournament comes to town, sport bikes get stolen. In the last 4 nights 4 to 5 sport bikes have been stolen. |

Motorcycle thieves should be lined up and shot. And then set on fire. Sorry to hear about your loss man. Best of luck in finding it, and those responsible. |

Naaah.. Let them live, put them to work on a labor farm. And garnish the wages until they have paid back 3x in restitution for the damage they caused. That oughta teach the summabitches. I'll keep an eye out Tijuana... It probably won't show up this far away though. Maybe I ought to get a disk lock. |

Those damn golfers! But seriously what happened? Was it a break in or was it taken off the street or what? I have not yet seen another 1125r in the wild but will call 911 for you if I ever see one at a golf course. |

Trust me a disk lock doesn't work. Remember this bike is light those damn somanabitches walked off with it. I had it parked right outside my apartment door on the first floor about six paces outside with the disk lock on the rear wheel. found the bike cover on the ground and a minivan parked where my bike was. I just picked up my spare keys on Wednesday too. You better bet I checking ebay religiously. Thanks all. Darn those golfer as if they didn't make enough money after playing one hole. |

I feel your pain, last year I had a Ducati 998 in my garage(built into the house not external). Someone broke in when I was at work and made off with it. Now the crazy part is, it was recovered a week later in the back of a stolen truck 20 miles away. I picked it up from impound, and put it back in the garage. Well the guy decided to try for it again, but this time I was home and the wife was out with the car. I caught him trying to load it into a city work truck in broad daylight. I bonked him over the head with a baseball bat, and waited for the cops to come. Six months later, I had to go to court for his trial, he got off with probation, and i got a stern warning for assault lol...Damn thieves. My garage is now like Fort Knox, monitored alarm, disabled automatic door opener, motion censored video camera. I hope you get your bike back in one piece! Mike |

To bad you could not have caught him in the garage with the door closed. I am sure you could have found a place to bury him. |

Mike I hope you get a chance to meet that judge in a dark alley one night just after a baseball game. Hard to tell who the real criminals are now. Joe |

That sucks, I'm sorry you have to deal with this. At least you have insurance. I think you would have to be pretty stupid to steal a Buell, particularly an 1125. It's not like it's just going to "blend in." |

Jeez what state do you live in. In Texas you can shoot the vagrant. Buck shot does wondrous things. From a distance it'll hurt and sting and the next 5 shots should stop them dead cold from moving. Exactly what I said. Everyone pretty much know each other through the forums. (Message edited by tijuanajack on April 11, 2008) |

Tijuana, That ebay listing is from a guy on the board (Slypirana). He has his own 1125R and is totally legit. Those guards aren't off your stolen bike, guaranteed. But it is a good idea to see what is ending up on ebay |

That sucks happened to me along time ago and was my only transpo, it was an enduro bike so I would go to the wood with my 22 and hide in the bushes for days and never seen him, he was lucky I would have popped him, I guess I was lucky I did not catch him might of turned bad for me, got the bike back ten or more years later and I had to pay to get it back, the system sucks and I live in a police state, cant wait to move, I am on ebay all the time and will be looking. I publicly apologize to my fellow Bad Webber, Slypiranna for insinuating he may have been selling stolen parts. I am sincerely sorry Slypiranna. He also has some of the most informative post on Bad Weather Bikers. |

Damn! What did I miss today? I guess I need to change my username and email...slypiranna might just lend bad thoughts but I assure you all that I work too damn hard to be a thief. I didn't take any offense and appreciate the apology but no harm done so no worries here. Thanks again, Montgomery Markel, yes that is my real name and I will change my username soon! |

Montgomery, it had nothing to do with your username. I was doing searches on ebay looking for leads on my stolen 1125R and happen to run across your add and thought it odd that the pic you had of the odometer was about the same miles on mine when stolen yesterday. The Sheriffs here in Augusta told me and the other sport bike riders that they are too busy with the Masters tournament to mess with stole sport bikes as they only have one person working about 5 stolen bike cases that occurred in this week alone. Another one was stolen early this morning. Your name is unique and cool. Please don't change it as everyone knows you by that name. I always look foward to your tech info. as you are the one helping may people out. Toby Trujillo My username is based on a military nickname I received back in 1996 from my last name shortened to TJ and someone else calling me tijuanajack. Toby, make sure you inform your dealer so they can flag the VIN in their system as being stolen. I did that with my 97 S1 but figured it is a chopper or out of the country by now. I hope it turns up and still in good shape. Good luck and thanks for serving. Frank |

Thanks Mike I checked it out. I'm still looking while I fill out all the forms. Frank, I did that the morning that the bike was stolen. Still waiting for the Sheriffs to call me and the insurance company. To much phone tag like I don't have enough with 2 college classes and an Army IT tech school that I really have to concentrate on. Stress is not needed at this time. Toby |

Bike Recovered in Aiken, SC. I have to go pick it up at a sheriff's contracted impound lot but I have to pay finder's fee (towing and impound fee)to get it back. What a sly business deal... Wonder who in their city government is getting their kick back for their contract. |

So you are only talking about 20-25 miles from your area. It would be interesting to find out how and where it was discovered. Neil S. |

Did they get the perps? Hopefully your insurance will cover the storage and the recovery fee? That would be interesting to know is all. I'm glad you are going to get back but I'm hoping it's not damaged or misused to great extent. |
