i replaced the fuel tank on my S1W. there was a mounting plate kit with teeth i guess was a update. i used the torque values from the factory manual and every thing seemed ok. when i removed the tank mounting bolt i noticed a crack in the flange. no leaks might just be in the paint.. is there a different torque setting for the replacement kit or should i just make it kina-sorta tight and don't tighten as tight as the manual suggests.... thanks in advance for your input |

"torque-to-grunt" Crack is likely just in the paint, mine has it too... |

The seat will retain it even if it comes loose. If you look in the KV at the recall, the bulletin will have the spec on the new parts. Do you want to sell your old tank-mounting hardware? I'd like to buy it if so. |
