After 20,000 miles in the saddle of an S3T that I (mistakenly) sold to replace with a Uly (should've kept it and bought the Uly anyway) I had a bit of a tough time getting used to my X1, but we've made peace and the riding's good now. |

JT! Shweet ride! mine is similar black / blue / carbon/ PM extras on my sled cleaned up tail hid Hi /LO headlight race ecm Check front / rear isos swing arm bearings steering head bearings intake seals including injectors. wheel bearings change brake fluids visual on head hanger as before with S2 muffler hangers as head hanger preflight. next winter consider oil pump gear, removal of spring plate. btw DONT clear coat the wheels i did it and it looks like poo, coating cracks and you get filliform corrosion UNDER the plastic. |

warlizard- a makita grinder w/a tile cutting wheel will make short work of that plastic monstrosity hanging off your bikes ass end. The plastic melts like buttah and you can easily refine the cut with a razorknife, although you probably wont have to. Nice ride Jersey! Im partial to M2's but Tubers are where it's at! Congrats! |

Sorry guys for the non-response. I've been away for a couple of days. It's a '99 with 58,000 kms ( about 35,000 miles)on the clock. I've done 42,000 of them in the last 20 months. No FI problems at all. Done nearly all the other fixes/upgrades. Nearly bought an XB but they're a bit squishy in the riding position for a big bloke like me. Would I buy another one? Absolutely. Let me wear this one out first. Having said that, I really get excited when I see an S1 or S1W. Absolute stunners! Gotta get me one of those. As well, not instead. |

Oh yeah, the riveted plate in the clutch flies apart, taking some clutch bits with it. Mine's still in with no problems yet. Replace at any time with 2 steel and one fibre plate. Got mine sitting here ready to go. Oil pump drive gear also here ready to go. Corbin seat is way better than the standard and the Penske shock is fantastic. Got picked up for a license check and rego check tonight. I think the cop just wanted to have a look...... |
