I will be getting a 1125 soon (live in Europe) and am aiming to buy a few add-on parts in advance. I have a buddy flying in to New York in May who could pick them up, but he is rather stuck to Manhattan and possibly Queens/Long Island. Do you have any tips on how to do this? No dealers on Manhattan, right?

I was thinking of buying the XB touring seat. What can you say about the XB pillion seats? Will they fit and is it a good idea to switch?

Any recommendations on crash pucks while I am at it?

Tour seat is a good fit, I put one on mine the day I got it, yes very good idea to switch.
My wife won't ride with me on the 1125R, only the FXWG, dunno about the pillion.
I even removed my passenger pegs.

You don't need frame pucks, the radiator pods cover that need.

Depending on your size, the XBS or the Uly 1" drop pegs work to add a little leg comfort.

I let my little brother ride mine, he kept looking under himself when he rode it.
When I asked him what he was looking for, he said, "you sure this is a V-twin and not an IL4???"

Congrats, get ready to fall in love.

Zack

Thanks Zack, I have read pretty much everything yet written about the bike, here on BadWeb and elsewhere, and I am really psyched to get my hands on it. Just saw it in person the other day and couldn't believe how much better it looked compared to pictures of it. The pods totally disappear and follows the shape of the bike beautifully.

With regards to crash pucks I was wondering if anybody here knows of a firm that already offers a nice kit for front fork, swing arm and bar ends.

It would also be nice if anyone with experience of the two different XBR pillion seats could chime in and say how they liked them.

I shopped parts for my X1 a couple of years back when I flew in to NY myself. I got the parts sent to a fellow badwebber from DaveS. This time I will try to get them delivered to my buddy's hotel but I am open to other suggestions as I don't know if the hotel will help me out.
