r-t Runs like a champ. 40k actual miles! All original except paint and drag pipes. Speedo even works. Leaks all over the place (of course), but runs strong and actually has decent brakes. I'm still grinning like a opossum. Hans Green is not your color. No, really. lib |

Hans, you bet, that'd work for me! Lib, color me green, too. If I could unload my Confederate, I'd look for one of those to keep my garage floor oiled! r-t |

Lib Nice find! Last Saturday while i was just pulling out of an H-D,Buell dealer parking lot,in pulled a guy with a panhead on a trailer. The thing was covered in dust + bird debris, even straw sticking in the spokes,it must have come right out of someones barn-it took all of 20 seconds before 5or6 guys were over beside it with big smiles on their faces. Now i,d like to kick myself in the butt, working with a land surveying crew here in Ohio, ive had a chance to talk to countless farmers about what they might have in their barns, never thought about it til now. |

It is worth the time. I have seen some wicked stuff come out of barns. Pans, old drag cars. I even seen (not personally on tv) a old bullet racer that they used on the salt flats, that used to be a old extra gas tank off of a WWII bomber. You may even find one of the original Captian American bikes from the Easy RIder movie, there are still two floating around out there that were stolen off the set. |

r-t Ha ha. I've got to find a bigger drip pan. A 30 gallon trash can lid just isn't big enough. Good luck selling the confederate. I saw a Hellcat down at Daytona in 99 and thought it was the coolest bike I had ever seen. jrh Thanks. This one is a two owner. I've got the original title with the first two owners names on it! I suspect there are alot of them in the Ohio area. Mine came from Columbus. The two previous owners were from the Columbus area. Keep your eyes peeled. A friend of mine made the mistake of letting me ride his 47 Knuckle and 48 Pan one weekend. That planted the seed. I love those tank shift bikes. They draw the crowds for sure. I bought some saddlebags off ebay for it last week. I know we're all Buell freaks but I've got more pix if anyone cares. lib |

Nice Panhead. Watch out for the revs. It's not a Buell you know. I haven't ridden my Dad's 46 for a number of years. Need to pull it out of mothballs and fix it up. Arvel |

Lib: Beautiful old bike-are you gonna restore it or just ride it? How hard is it to learn to operate those antique controls? Foot clutch, hand shift, left hand spark advance? I'm old, but not so old that I ever had to deal with all that! (I'm pretty good with a right-footed gear shifter, though!) r-t |

Lib: That a very nice early panheanhead. It still retains its "plumber heads" an amazing fact since o ring conversions kits saw their way into every other one of these I ever saw. Diamond primary w/o the compensating sprocket ugly bump and the ever so beatiful knucklehead/early panhead kidney cover. Always hated the 4 fin 54 and later. Had one just like it same color in fact, a non original metallic blue. The good old days when I thought I was going to become dennis hopper and ride around the west for a living. |
