Ok - just curious - has anyone captured the RPM's when the front wheel just can't handle it anymore and lofts up? I found myself on one wheel several times today - but was a little focused on that and not the RPMs. Go figure. |

I think that 1st gear power wheelies are at 5500 rpm. 2nd gear is 6500 rpm. 3rd gear I need to clutch them up but they do sometimes come up with out the clutch. (more of a lofting though)

Also I think that your total rider weight and rebound settings can change things too. Anyone over 225 pounds should be able to power them up a little easier than someone a bit smaller. Us fat guys can make the tire bite a little harder. |

Hey Neal: I resemble that remark!!!!!!! LOL I do, I do but, that the fate of good genes and a low metabolism. FWIW: If your suspension is set up a little stiff, it will wheelie easier. Learned that in my S3 days. Time2Work Neil S. |

I'm having so much fun with this bike. In second gear at about 5K I just whack the throttle and pull on the bars a bit and the headlights go vertical.

Seems that I can be in 1st, rear against seat cowl travel around 30ish and goose it til I shift or decrease my throttle. Hadn't got brave enough to clutch wheelie any gear. -Boudrx. |

Still breaking it in, so not going crazy with the RPM's much... but around 5K it gets real light. |

Pretty funny Froggy, I have had her 4 mos. waited 3 before I got it. This is my 3rd buell (x1, xb12s) use to torque but findin that sweet spot to play in will take time( 4K-1st gr, 6k-2nd gr). Never desired IL4 like other friends, who Wheelie in 1,2,&3 gear, accidentally found the Endo stoppie speed (almost hit a neighbors dog). Stoppies all the time now, next rollin stoppies.-boudrx |

Im past the break in, or close enough, so Ive started opening mine up a bit. I wanted to see about this "second gear power wheelie." I think a lot of the time through exaggerations and one-upsmanship, the second gear wheelie has been downplayed. Ive ridden some IL4 600s, and older gixxer 750, my M2 with N8 cams, and xb9r and an xb12r. None of those would do a legit power wheelie in second gear for me. Granted, Im no stunta pro, but none of those bikes gave me the impression that they would pull the front wheel without clutch or kip. I know guys that can wheelie in most any gear it seems like, but they all ride liter bikes with sprocket changes and some aftermarket power adders. Magazines want to sell copies, so even they talk about how easy a bike is to wheelie. Then again, maybe Im just really bad at doing them. Well, I just rolled on the gas at 5k and the 1125r pulled the front wheel all on its own, no jerk of the bars, no kip up, no clutch. It just powered it up, slow and smooth, starting around 50mph. It didnt stop coming up until I chopped the throttle. THIS THING HAS POWER! Im so in love with this bike! |

Any advise for doing stoppie's, I watch the stunt shows and like wheelie's and stoppie's and just want to do both, a power wheelie is no problem, I use to wheelie my sportster and hit my tail lens when I was young, I would get it in the zone and ride far on the back wheel but never seen anyone do the things that are done now, I would like to do stoppie's but have only got small ones so any advice on doing them. Thanks Mike |

weight forward, with a decent amount of speed gently increase pressure on front brake lever, and move weight more over windscreen. regulate pressure on front brake lever to bring rear up/down as needed. |

Bagger Mike, first find an empty parking lot thats in good condition, and a friend with a cell phone and transportation other than a bike there. also be prepaired to drop your bike, just in case it does happen. with all that said, starting small would start around 25mph, then aggresively, but not abrubtly apply the brake, progressively squeezing it, while simultaneously transfering your weight forward. I always imagine i'm trying to lift the bike with my butt. as i try to lift my butt off the seat the bike comes up. just watch for the rear coming around on the long rolling stoppies, and be safe. |

Thanks John I did find a parking lot near by, the back of the Hospital that my Grandmother was in has a really big lot that has little to no cars in it, the Hospital has many parking lots and this one is way out back and no one really uses it, I feel fear now or maybe it is smartness? but I use to do really good balancing wheelies on bikes when young but never did anything else. I got my son Ride Like A Pro DVD and has good info, I had one of his first DVD's and was good so I bought his newest one for my son, he also has one on riding the dragon and is a cop and teaches cops to ride there bikes, He uses big bikes like baggers and gold wings and show how to handle them and turn in really small area's plus other good advise. My son really likes the DVD and said he is thinking of getting a bagger now that he seen the DVD and how easy it is to ride a heaver bike, He wants a sport bike and a cruiser bike but he does not understand the cost of insurance and maintanence of a bike and that he can only afford one. so now we have a place to go and practice riding and if one of us wipes out we are right were we need to be a Hospital, I also have mts towing and can get them to tow his or my bike home if something bad happens. so now we have a place to go and practice riding and if one of us wipes out we are right were we need to be a Hospital, you got that one right. I dont see the appeal in stunting....maybe just my jaded opinion after scraping so many squids off the road. |

Hwy, I think that it`s a sickness or an addiction. I absolutely have to pull a few wheelies and pull a couple of 120+mph rips every time I go out. If I don`t I`m not having any fun. |

I`'m just different in an aggravating sort of way I`'d suppose. Sorry Zac I`'ll try to do better. By the way, I`'ve really been enjoying the recent pictures you`'ve been posting. Did you burn that tire down to the steel belts? |

No, they actually looked better after the burn-out. The flat strip in the center was rounder. Rode her about 70 miles today and the belt started showing half-way out. I can say good-bye now with a clear conscience that I got my money`s worth. edit - just had an idea - Tire still has air, I wonder if I do a burn-out now, on concrete if it'll throw sparks... I did another second gear wheelie tonight. Rolled up to a little over 50mph in second gear and just whacked it WFO. Up she came, easy as pie. By the time it was up nice and high, I was doing well over 70mph. This thing has POWER! I really love this bike. Zac, in that pic of you doing the burnout, your bike has the amber wheels on it. Please tell me you switched wheels just to do a burnout!??? |

I've had some pretty good 3rd gear power wheelies with the help of a little crest in the road. You'll go much further in 3rd until it revs out. Still trying to master constant speed wheelies. |

Dtx, The 3rd gear power wheelies are kinda freaky aren`t they. Lifting the front tire at that speed is really hard to get used to. |
