Hey there, I got one of those handheld GPS units (a Garmin 60Cx) recently and I'm interested in using it in conjunction with my M2. Do any of you folks use a GPS with your Cyclone? How do you mount it? Not too much real estate on the handlebars... | ||

yeah there is a ram mount that will work they have em at gander mountain for atvs and atv's also employ 7/8 inch bars so it will work, best of all it is really easy to remove/ position. good luck | ||

The RAM handle bar or brake mount is hard to beat: handlebar - http://www.gpscity.com/ramb149ga12 brake - http://www.gpscity.com/ramb174ga12 I use my 76Cx on my bike sometimes, also have a StreetPilot 2610. But I use RAM mounts for all of them. On the M2 you can take the power for the GPS from the wiring behind the windscreen. That has a very low draw so taking power from the instrument lighting wire is OK. Use the orange/white (or is it orange/gray?) and it will make it come on in the accessory position and go off when you take the key out. Use one of the black leads for the ground. The display will go to full brightness when you use it on external power so that is a good thing in the day time and you can dim it down at night if you want. Garmin sells a DC power cable for those and you can find them on eBay pretty cheap too. Just buy the plug in type and cut the and off to wire it in using Tee-Taps. Jack | ||
