So the 6 piston XB's had an available set of racing brake pads that were great. I believe they were the Nissin 804's. Is there an equivalent brake pad for the 8 piston 1125R brakes? |

Maybe the xbrr pads are different and we can use them? I have yet to see anything from the aftermarket. |

The aftermarket is working on pads, and several will be seen shortly. Meanwhile, the excellent pads that Jeremy McWilliams and others ran on the XBRR and that were used by the French TopTwin team in their recent sucesses on 1125s, are available from Henry Duga at Buell's racing department for track use only. They carry compound number 2015. |

Wonder if the pre-production bikes we rode at Inside Pass had the stock pads or the 2015's? I'd like to make sure I have the same setup when I hit the track - the pre-production bikes had awsome stopping power. |

XB9 - I think I read on here that the Inside Pass track bikes had "race" pads on them. |

I think you are right DTX, I asked a Buell guy at Mid Ohio... I recall him saying they were running race pads just to keep them from getting burned up at track paces. Watching what the advanced class was doing to those poor bikes suggested that was a wise decision. |

Talked to Henry Duga today, the racing pads (they were on the pre-production bikes) are Nissin 2015 compound. They are in stock and your dealer can order them for you only directly through the Buell Racing Dept. Part Number: HO300.05AH $179.25 Retail. |

Sorry to bump this up but I have ordered the Race Pads for my 11 and was wondering if there were any special preps I needed to do to my rotor before installing. Or is this like any brake job I have done over the last 10 years? Thanks ahead of time. Nick |
