It's in the bottom of the carb. If you check the KV I'm sure there's a link...or you can try here, I think there's a pic: http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd_cv_mods.htm |

I've been thinking about getting a couple of his nifty-difty adjuster handle screw thingys. Beats trying to stuff a small screwdriver between a carburetor and a hot header pipe, LOL. |

Ya! I seen them screws on the link. Sounds like a little tweekin is the norm so a screw like that might take the ouch outta the process. Or cut the tips of the fingers on a cheapass pair of gloves when you are tweekin....the uptown screw is better....did I just say that?? |

Most of us closed it to a light stop and then opened it 2-1/2 turns and left it there. Mine was running so good that I was afraid to mess with it. I made a half hearted attempt to get at it one time and gave up after a couple of burns. And that was with a TIG welding glove on. I'm getting ready to do the same mod on the CV-40 on my Dyna. It is pretty cold blooded and slow to warm up, I'll get it helps with that. Jack |
