I posted up under my original purchase question thread, but figured this is worth of moving out of the archives! Tail end of ride report from ADV (I cut out the thumper content - full report can be found here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33 0103): Wednesday, April 9th - OK, now time to trade the dirt for some road. Thanks again to all who chimed in on my purchase decision. Zero buyer's regret here!!! Jen |

drtgrll, I noticed your bike jack/stand in your stable pictures and thought I might mention that there are directions on this site on how to modify that type of stand to lift a Buell. Congratulations on the bike. Tom S |

Thanks, I'll have to search for that topic...can you give me any further guidance??? p.s. The bike jack/stand isn't mine, it's a donation to the Hill Street Garage from elsewhere so I'm a bit clueless on operational guidelines |

Basically, you make a cut-out (from 2 2x4's) to match the profile of the muffler. Then you screw & glue the cut-outs to a piece of plywood. The plywood lays flat on the jack and the 2x4's make contact (transverse to the rolling direction of the bike) with and lift the bike at the muffler. Try doing a search on Sears. I think I read it on a Sears stand thread. |

Congrats Jen, you made the most important step and that is bonding with the Beast. Now that you are both one your rides will be awesome! Next comes the wrenching. |

Congrats on the new love Jen. It will get better every day you ride. Don't forget to update you profile, as you are no longer waiting. Is it just me, or does Tallerman look like.....8 feet tall on that bike? |

Jen-Nice Uly, congratulations. I notice we have the same 2 bikes; I have a klx250s also! Some days I commute on the Uly and sometimes on the klx. Fun either way! Good luck with your new bike :-) Richard |
