Developed by Buell Hannover and Saron Innovations (ex-Akrapovic design/development engineer and automotive design specialist), this new race exhaust for the 1125R is not only better looking and lighter (and stainless steel of course) but gives impressive performance gains thoughout the rev range, with a peak increase of 8.5PS (approx 8bhp). The great thing is that it achieves this with no loss of power anywhere in the rev range and large increases everywhere! The pipe includes a removable 'db killer' just in case you like things a little quieter Available to order now from us at http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/255.html Price is GBP612.77 (US$1205 approx at today's rates).

am i reading that right, 149 horse and 113 torque? i'm a little unsure about the looks, i would think it would fit the lines of the bike better if the can was rounded instead of having the angular look as most the rest of the bike is smoothed out. i do like the charts though. the curves look good. a/f has a little wobble, but not bad. would be alot better obviously whenever a tuner hits the streets. while i think about it, that thing pulled a hundered and what stock for torque? thats alot more than i have seen on any of them (Message edited by no_rice on April 10, 2008) |

Matt: Thanks for your support. Ooo, Ahhh, pretty, well not pretty but functional. Pretty charts charts at least. Does it use the stock headers? What about sound/ sound clip and db? TIA Neil S. |

Not HP and not Ftlbs. The peak power is about 140hp @ the rear wheel! |

The guy really excelled himself. He produced an exhaust system even uglier than the original. Horrible. (Yeah, yeah, I know, function over form etc.... but there are limits to how ugly you can make something and it still be acceptable.) |

No rice, that is newton meters not foot pounds. 84.34 Ft Lbs to the wheel! NICE!!! But the pipe is FUGLY!! |

In the first picture, there seems to be some loss of ground clearance compared to the stock exhaust. Or is the picture angle deceptive? |

Yes, I think early adopters should wait at least 6 months. There's bound to be better options in the pipeline and if they are made in the States they'll probably be a much better price for us too. |

The converted figures on the dyno graphs would be: Max RWHP: 147.02 (stock 138.61) Max torque: 83.39 ft lbs (stock 77.46) As for wether it is ugly, it is of copurse a matter of opinion of course, but personally I think it is beautiful compared to the mild steel, rusty and badly welded original, and also weighs about 1/10th as much (if that!). I haven't heard it yet, but can guarantee it sounds better than stock too There are constraints on muffler size/shape etc enforced by the wheelbase and space available to fit a performance pipe that actually improves on the original product. The angled sides are there to give better clearance when cornering than a rounded shape, and I think they work quite well. If you were to make a 'standard' type exhaust that exits at the side of the bike by the seat then the job would be much easier and improvemenmts could be made in power at the expense of 'mass centralisation' of course. |

Those gains are really impressive, too bad its 1200 bucks. Its good to know; A) Its possible for another pipe to MAKE more power, not lose as a cost for sound, and B) The motor in these bikes has a LOT more potential. |

I'm pretty much with No_rice on all counts - pretty charts, not pretty muffler. |

Its possible for another pipe to MAKE more power These days, with such very strict emissions criteria it shouldn't really surprise you at all that removing the constraints on emissions from the design brief will result in output gains. (However, in actual real % terms the "gains" are less impressive from this exhaust. I think there is much better to come yet for 1125's.) The surprise (to me anyhow) would be if the non-road legal pipe had less power! |

WoW, its a little out of my budget range, but its real nice to see some options. |

These days, with such very strict emissions criteria it shouldn't really surprise you at all that removing the constraints on emissions from the design brief will result in output gains. Unfortunately it is very often the case with aftermarket pipes that even without the emmissions restraints and not having to be road legal they make less power than stock, or put huge holes in the power band. This is the first pipe I have seen in a very long time (for any make of bike) that has made gains throughout the rev range in both power & torque without any sacrifice at all. Add that to the 20lb weight decrease and you are looking at a serious performance advantage, and how you figure the % gains to be less than impressive baffles me Remember this is 'just' a muffler. No ECU, airbox or air filter mods have been made, so an 8.4 bhp increase just from a can seems pretty impressive to me. |

Matt - these numbers seem quite good to me. Has this made you a bit more excited about the bike? |

Results look NICE from the dyno charts. The exchange rate SUCKS though. Can't wait to see what happens when air filter & ECM can be "tweeked" to match. |

in my opinion they should atleast straighten out the bends in that y pipe. it wouldnt take much to get that low spot a little higher without affecting the angle of the can. it would make the thing appear a bit better to. i realize leveling out the can would put the wide end down lower and might compromise lean angle so thats why i say just smooth out the y pipe lines a bit. that really shouldnt affect the exhaust flow. |

I'm sold, as long as it's not D&D loud. The db killer gives me hope. I'm going to wait for a sound clip before I order... EDIT I just received this response from the mnf. 1. The new exhaust will comply with the European track noise regulation of 105db maximum with the 'db killer out'. Putting this back in would reduce the noise and it is easily removed/replaced. They will certainly be MUCH quieter than the D&D! My order is in now. I'll let you all know how it is when I receive it! (Message edited by tsrf900r on April 10, 2008) |

Can't wait to hear this pipe. $1200 is a bit steep, but IMO looks better than the D&D |

Tsrf Mike - did you get your bike at Deeley or at Barnes? When you get your pipe, come to the big city and drop by Bart None on friday or saturday night so I can have a listen. Freezerburn |

Hey Freezerburn, I got my bike at Mountainview in Chilliwack. Will do, I should see it in 2-3 weeks, they are either pre-order, or made to order as there is a 2 week delay before shipment. Cheers Mike |

Ha ha - read my post - that would be Bar None. That's 1222 Hamilton St in Yaletown. Yeah, no guys named Bart allowed. My bike should be parked out front somewhere as soon as it's a bit warmer. I hate riding home at 4AM when its cold after a long cold night of standing outside. |

does anyone have a ball park figure on what shipping would cost for this puppy to arrive in CT? I sent in a request via their website but I'm sure everyone is sleeping over there by now. |

6% gain in HP 8% gain in torque $150 per ponie $200 per ft/lb. I did the math |

Nice Xb9... now can we get that a little closer to home, with a little better looks, and for about $800? or is that just being greedy. |
