I am open to suggestions. Here is one idea: It would be about 120 miles RT. Should be done by Noon. Anyone know if all of it is paved? Brady didn't you say you tried this about a month or so ago? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=2859 298902269198558,45.228118,-123.576258&saddr=Tigard ,+OR&daddr=Bible+Creek+Rd+%4045.228118,+-123.57625 8+to:Willamina,+OR&mra=pi&mrcr=1&sll=45.143305,-12 3.483925&sspn=0.208013,0.539703&ie=UTF8&ll=45.2671 55,-123.097&spn=0.415121,1.079407&z=11 |

Figures, my arm is feeling pretty good, the weather should be great and I have to work. I never work on weekends! Wish I could go. |

if the weather is anywhere near what's forecast, count me in! sunny and 70??? what's not to like about that? i think 8:00 am at gators sounds good - and, personally i'd prefer sticking to the paved and less gravely roads. otherwise i'm game for wherever you've got in mind. Aron - is your Buell gonna be fixed in time for saturday, or will you be riding the yamaha? or v-rod? Paul - i know i owe you a mug shot, and i'm working on it. last time we met you mentioned that you might be able to get a hold of the Motocyz dvd. i know you wont be there saturday, but any luck getting your hands on that thing? if so, i'd love to borrow it.... toby |

Toby, I will be on the FZ1. I found a primary on E-bay but found out that the 03-05 will not fit the 06 because of the transmission change. So I am stuck finding a used 06 or paying full price for a new one. If I have to buy a new one I am looking at at least a month before I can afford it. And yes we will be sticking to paved roads. Meadowlake road is paved most of the way. But I am hoping that if we turn on bible creek rd we will be getting off before it runs out of pavement. I just need to confirm this. Otherwise we can pick another route. |

Here is a link about meadowlake road. For this weekends planned ride http://oregonmotorcyclist.com/ridepage.php?page=ne stuccariver It sounds like if we go the route I planned and turn off of on bible creek rd we will still hit the 2.5 miles of smooth unpaved road. The review this guy wrote should make you want to ride this route regardless. LOL Other options if it looks rough is to turn around. Or we can go down to bible creek rd and up to Nestucca RD and into Beaver skipping the Meadolake section. Like I said I am open for suggestions. Both Paul and I have ridden Meadow lake all the way through in the fog and rain one time and even then the unpaved section only took about 5 minute or less at 30 mph. |

Mark and Brady, if you guys can make it we could meet up with you guys in Carlton or McMinnville to save you the trip all the way up to Portland. I would like to head out by 8:30 from Gators so we could meet up around 9:15 - 9:30. |

Greetings All, I've ridden Meadowlake Rd. from Carlton to Beaver many times. It's a great rip although there is about a 5-mile stretch of gravel during the last 1/2 of the ride (I'm thinking it's past Bible Creek). It's usually very hard pack and nothing at all to worry about other than getting the bike a bit dirty. I won't be with you folks on Saturday. I'm leading a longer "burger quest" ride that's leaving around 9:30 from Tigard, returning mid-afternoon. Anyone is welcome to join if your up for a longer rip. Have fun! |

Thanks for the invite. If it was not for the fact that I had to be home by 1:00 I would consider it. I would very much like to do a longer Saturday ride especially with nicer weather coming. But I need to pre arrange sitters for my kids for thous. Right now I am able to get away with 4-5 hours in the mornings which still allows me to cover about 200 miles of ground. |

Afraid I can't make tomorrow's ride, folks. Daughter has a volleyball game that I'm helping with. Weather looks great, though! Thankfully, we're taking the Beemers out for a lunchtime ride after the game. Got a new exhaust on my BMW, eager to hear & feel how it changes the boxer motor. Certainly nothing like the Drummer SS on my XB. |

Well today was a great day and very warm. Even up on top of the mountain. There was still snow in places and the road had some debris washed up on it. We turned onto Bible creek road (a very twisty and technical road) and then made a wrong turn at the T. We ended up even higher up and came to dead end do to snow covering the while road. So we had to back track a few miles. Once we got directed in the right direction the road became very nice. In all it ended up being around a 200 mile ride from start to finish.
