So I have been noticing oil on the top of my Muffler so a few weeks ago I took off the muffler and scrubbed it down and check all the oil lines. I tightened them up but I noticed that the oil seemed like it may be leaking out of one of the lines where the Hard line meets the Braided line. So Now its a few weeks later and I am still seeing oil on the muffler so I am really leaning towards the fittings on the oil lines. I am guessing that these are compression fittings. Has anyone else had any leaks there? These look like they are crimp on and not screw on fittings. Can it be fixed or do the lines need to be replaced? Are there any better after market alternative or are the stock lines the best bet? Sorry for the noob questions, this is the first Buell for me and I am not used to these external oil lines. Thanks guys. |

Check your oil cooler. Mine leaked from the fittings at the oil cooler. I got about a 1/3 of a turn on the fitting. If your sure it is the line then order a new one from the dealer. I have not had much luck recrimping them. |

Its definately not at the oil cooler its right above the muffler. Anyone know of any companies that sell aftermarket lines that use screw on fittings instead of crimp on's? |
